Moccasin Wallow Golf Club

I had not played this course in almost 10 years. I like the layout. But I was disappointed in the overall condition of the course. The greens were very good and fast. But the rest of the course was not in the same condition. Additionally, the clubhouse and restaurant closed at 4 pm. So with a 1:30 tee times, we weren't able to use the restaurant after our round. I think the rates are too high for this course at this time, based upon the condition.

Played for the first time with the wife we will be back. Greens and well taken care of and fast

We played this course a lot over the years and it had gotten kind of bad but it sounds like they have put in some irrigation and I thought that the teas, greens and fairways were all in really good shape. For the most part. Everything is more expensive than it has been around Sarasota, but they are at least in the reasonable category which is nice. We will definitely play here again

This is a course you have to think your way around d the course. Blind water, tight fairways so the premium is on being straight. Green complexes were challenging but fair.

Starter was great and course for a draught was perfect. Good fast greens.

Play discourse on Monday March 23rd. Overall the course was in great condition fairways were really kept up and the rough wasn't as bad as some courses. It's a challenging course with a lot of dog legs and water. The greens were really fast on the day I played that's because we haven't had rain in the area in a long time. Once the summer rains start the greens will be excellent for putting. The only drawback is that the entire 18 hoes did not see one beverage cart the whole time. They can work on this. I would recommend this course and I will be back to play it again.

I haven’t played this course in over 8 years. It is in great condition and the pace was great. The staff there are very friendly. I would recommend it.

Nice course and fun to play. Needs more maintenance, seeding fairways, greens and tee boxes and watering. But the worst problem is the starter who doesn’t match up twosome’s and puts them behind foursome’s to match up the speed of play. The pace of play was horrendous!

Course was in good shape overall. Greens were good, if a bit slow. Tee boxes ok, could use some work. Fairways and bunkers good. Pace of play was ok. Water on many holes. Staff was friendly.

When the new owners took over ~ 5 years ago, I heard claims that this course would be overhauled and be so good it could host regional qualifiers...I don't think so. The new ownership focused more on the clubhouse and bar area than the golf course. The bar area looks great, but for me the course has to take precedence. The tees were beat up. The fairways hard and dry (the drought doesn't help). The bunkers were like dry river bottoms. The greens were good. I give them a B+. But the rest of the course still needs work...lots of work.

For the price, I didn’t expect such poor fairways and garbage bins overflowing on each hole. I didn’t expect it to be like a fancy club but weeks, dirt and dead grass with poor practice facilities seems like price should be lower.

Haven’t played here for three years. Course was in great shape. T boxes were ok, fairways were good, greens were great. All staff were very helpful and friendly from the lady in the pro shop, to the starter, and the young lady at the cart return. Pace of play was good. Will definitely play here again.

They have certainly improved playing conditions from a couple of years ago but still much improvement needed
