Buffalo Creek Golf Course

I had a great time at Buffalo Creek. The pace of play for my twosome was very good (3 hours). The fairways had improved since the previous time I had played there. During the current drought some spots on the fairways are sparse but overall most lies were OK. The greens were a bit shaggy by design during the severe drought conditions, consequently they ran slow.. Two greens are currently under construction while the remaining 16 greens are fine although slower than they normally are under non drought conditions. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I recommend this course.

I Travel from Texas to Florida every summer and have played Buffalo Creek several times. This year, the round was a disaster. Large areas of the fairways were dead, large areas of most greens had been lost and several were closed with temp greens. The greens that were open had been punched and sanded and the sanding was insufficient, resulting in very bumpy, unputtable greens.

With the condition of the course, and having to hit to make up greens, and the original greens need a lot of repair. 33 dollars is not a bargain. The workers are friendly and the course has a very nice layout, but I will not recommend this course to any of my friends.

There is a lot that needs done to make it a great course. Its priced appropriately for condition. Cart paths are in rough shape too. Some are close to greens and can ruin a decent shot. When installed the course was managed by non-golfing county employees. Now you need to be careful not to roll your ankle.

It's obviously a course that needs improvement and work is in progress. I look forward to the day its fixed up. Unfortunately, I've been saying that for years. Still fun even though its in rough shape.

To be honest, Course is in the worst shape ive ever seen! With that said, the new management looks to be trying to get it back together. But very very bad shape!

The course is under construction in some places. The greens are in terrible shape. There are a few temporary greens rn. Maybe at some point the course will be in better condition. For now I do not recommend playing at Buffalo creek. Also I booked the tee time through golf now and my 3rd couldn’t make it. The course still charged me for him and said it was bc I reserved thru golf now and they are responsible for refunding me.

Pace of play was under 4 hours and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was early morning so I expected to play quickly. Price was very good at $35 including cart.

However, the greens are the worst I’ve played. Many had bare patches, some new sod which was not properly laid and weeds were evident on several greens. Several holes had temporary greens.

This course needs a lot of work. Its just not golf at this course currently.

I’m torn on this course. Right now they have 4 temp greens because they are under restoration. I think come next season it will be in good shape. I got the summer loyalty card which gives 27 dollar tee times from 7-10am with a free beer and 20% off pro shop at no cost for the card. It’s a good deal; I’ll keep coming back because I have golfed here for 20 years. It’ll get better but for now be warned, it’s being worked on. The staff is always the best, Jay at the proshop is the man!
