Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Outstanding
The staff and grounds crew are spot on with the continued improvement's with this facility. The fairways are as close to perfect considering the amount of play traffic it gets. The greens continue to improve getting very close to a consistent 10 from week to week. Don't take my opinion on this, get out and play this course. Disappointed will not be going with you when you finish your round. Enjoy
Best value in Pensacola
This course is in better shape than most of the courses in Pensacola/Alabama Gulf shores- having played all the courses in the area Marcus Pointe is the best value in the area. For the price the course is in outstanding condition - and comparable to the courses charging $150 for a round.
Excellent overall experience!
This is my favorite course in the Pensacola area. The staff is so friendly, I feel comfortable as soon as I walk in. The driving range seems rather small. However, there’s a huge practice putting green that will come in handy later in the round. There’s even an area dedicated completely to chipping and pitching, separate from the putting area. I saw the cart girl twice, I noticed that she calls the members by name and knows what they want to drink. The course itself is extremely well tended; workers are everywhere tending to the grounds. Everything is mown and well kept. Sand traps are immaculate.. The greens have a few patches that you have to work around, but that’s a normal problem for Florida courses it appears. There was a Marshall and he was super nice. Unfortunately, the group in front of us was kind of ridiculously slow at times and he didn’t help us in that regard. Still, it was a four hour round and I have no complaints there really. This neighborhood course has been a pleasure to play every time I go there.
Getting better
Continued improvement's on the greens and fairways, best condition and value in the greater Pensacola area.
Great value
This course continues to improve course fairways and greens. Staff is very friendly.
Excellent
Traveled from Kansas to see family decided to play this course. Glad we did. The most friendly staff on a course from the time you walk in to pay, to getting drinks or food in the clubhouse/lounge, to bev cart on course, to giving you layout and tee box locations. That was very helpful to us since we were first timers here. The course conditions were great. Greens were great and consistent speed and fairways were green and in great shape. Pace of play was perfect as we didn’t have to wait on any hole to tee off or feel pushed by people behind us. Chipping, putting greens were great and hitting off grass at the range and not mats were great before our round. Can’t wait to get back out there on my next visit or maybe plan a trip sooner.
Improving
Great condition fun to play and still improving the course overall. Keep up the great job.
Had choices and chose Marcus Point
I had a coworker and close friend in town from south Detroit. We use to play golf frequently and had our favorite courses up north. I chose to take him to Marcus Point and we had a great day. I had many choices but this one did not disappoint
Sunday funday
Above average course for this area. Prefer the standard scorecards iver the ones they use
Improvement
Grading the greater Pensacola area including Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, Elberta and Gulf Shores. Marcus pointe on a 1-10 scale grades close to an 8. All other area courses are on average maybe push 5 to 6. Go play Marcus pointe and decide for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
Fun
We really enjoyed Marcus Pointe. The staff there was polite and courteous. The cart was top notch with gps, music and being able to make an order at the turn (although our order didn’t go through until we got really close to the club house). Course is in good condition for it being the beginning of spring.
Best improved
Last two times playing here course conditions were not good This day they were 5 star, a must play in Pensacola.
Course in great condition
Greens and fairways were excellent. Greens were just rolled prior to our round.
Beautiful, well maintenance course.
The course is very well maintenance from fairway to the green, pace of play is good, will come back.
Very Nice
The course is looking and playing better now than I have ever seen. The greens are almost perfect.
Great experience
Absolutely enjoyed our round at Marcus Pointe. The course was in great condition and the staff is top notch. We enjoyed the round and all the amenities. Will play there again.
