Savanna Club Golf Course

Despite the wet conditions from recent weather the course is in very good condition and is well maintained. The bunkers are really well placed to add a bit of challenge to a short course. Overall I was fairly impressed for my first outing here in the late FL summer. The friendly staff and abundant wildlife round out a very good experience.

If you know this course, you know it's been in tough condition the past couple years. They brought in IGM to manage the golf operations and in less than a year there has been a huge transformation. I love dropping a ball on the ground on par 3's, which there are 12 of them. You couldn't do this just this past June because tee boxes were weeds and dirt. I never used a tee this time. Every tee box was in good to very good condition with a type of grass that just props the ball up. I love it. Greens were just punched (3rd time since June) so a little sandy but oh so soft. Again, if you've played here before you could crack a metal ball mark repair tool in the ground. Now, you could fix a ball mark with the gentle use of a plastic tee. You can see, even through the sanded greens, that there is a great layer of grass. In about a month, this should be a gem!

Everyone needs to try it for themselves, it has become one of my go to courses! Keep up the great work you are doing!!

So my son and I played yesterday for the second time. We were very disappointed when we started playing to rind out all of the greens were being air rated. We thought may be a few holes but no all greens. I would of appreciated a heads up on that condition and then could of chose not to play or play some where else. We were not the inly ones complaining. I say the course should let golf now know uf there is anything that golfers should know before booking. Left a bad taste and alot if sand everywhere. Not happy. !!

So today my son and I played this course our second time. Its is a nice course , not long , good iron play but today we were totally disappointed. Every green was air-rated and completely full of sand. So much so that I felt like we were on a beach. Now I understand what needs to be done but the course and Golf Now did not give me the option of choosing not to play there because of that. Everyone had the same complaint so We were not alone. In the future I would greatly appreciate Golf Now or the course itself to let customers / players know ahead of time the conditions so we can decide.

Super nice starter and pro shop The course is has a good layout.

Yes, there could be some improvement on the first few tee boxes, but we have had a horrible drought and severe freezing this past winter. But overall this course is quick to play, greens that are a bit tricky and lots of water to avoid.

First time playing this course. As advertised it a great course

For what it is. Lots of iron work. Only draw back was some parts of the course what in need of landscaping and repair

From t-boxes to fairways to rough to greens. All below minimal standards. I would not recommend this course.

The fairway is just sand and weeds, the greens weren’t even maintained, only positive was the staff was extremely nice. Club rentals need an update. The overall maintenance is so low, the course could be nice if it had actual grass and not weeds and sand everywhere.

Fun little course to play, Several of the greens on the front nine need some work but the rest of the course was fine considering the lack of rain we have had this year. Pace of play was very good as it took about 3 hrs for 18 holes at a leisurely pace.
