About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Golfer Reviews
Meh at best
Fairways overgrown. Greens are just the same grass cropped shorter, and still overgrown. They roll maybe like a 5
First timer
My buddy and I really enjoyed this course. We were a 2some and there was a 4some ahead of us that we were trying hard not to press them. We backed off a hole earlier but as a 2some you just go faster. They were putting on a par 3 when we came around to the hole, finished, and waved is on. It was very nice and doesn't happen as much as it should.
Everyone there was nice and the course was in good shape.
Old friend
I lived in Ruskin from 2011 to 2016 and played Riverside every Monday with our park league. Nothing much has changed except for a lot more houses on the course. Greens are still slow but, putt pretty true. I enjoyed getting to play it again.
Replay
From 2011 thru 2016 I played this course every Monday morning during the winter I played here with our park league. Nice course with some challenging holes. The course was in good shape. The greens were as slow as I remembered them but, putted true. I enjoyed playing it again.
Avoid this course
Not much better than a pitch snd putt course. Tee boxes and fairways are in bad shape. This course is best left to members who are part of a modular(really?) home golf course community. We had to have the carts back by 5pm ( with 3 hrs of light left) because the retired people working there needed to go home early. Ridiculous
It’s a Shame
Tee boxes and fairways were is rough shape. The course is very tight with houses. Seems the course gets a lot of play. Better conditions it would be a fun course to play. If you spray the ball stay away.
Needs water
Tee boxes and fairway need water. Greens where good shape.
