The Club Renaissance

About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Lots of water
Fun, but somewhat difficult. Lots of water around the course. Will play it again.
Usually excellent conditions, right now the fairways are a bit thin, but good for this time of year. Greens are in very nice shape. Starter put three 2somes out (we were the second 2some) behind a fairly slow 4some. Once they let us play through, the pace of play was excellent. Price is a bit on the high side compared to similar courses in the area, but it's an enjoyable track.
Nice course
Extremely well maintained, attractive, enjoyable course. From the white tees, someone who shoots in the 90s will enjoy a round where they have a chance to get a fair number of pars, but there's enough of a challenge that you have to hit good shots. Holes are distinctive.
Tight layout, so bring your accuracy.
The course was extremely tight with some very small greens. The course conditions were excellent with the best green speeds. I’ve played so far this Winter season. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. On this track which can play pretty short depending on the tees you choose. You still better hit em straight to stay out of the wet land.
Nice day in Sun City!
Great weather and a really nice golf course. Then we had dinner in their beautiful dining room... very nice!
Love it... but
It was a great day at Club Renaissance. The course and facilities were great. My only issue is that $50 a round is high and does not compare to the other courses in the area.
Very good
I really enjoyed the course everyone was friendly the course is in great shape.
Decent, but not worth price.
While the course is not bad, it’s not great either. It is par for decent courses in Florida. I have coworkers that rave about how nice it was, but I could not relate. However, their staff was top notch and very courteous.
Great Course for a Hot Deal or Better
Very nice course, great condition, fast greens. The white tee is fun, blue a bit more challenging, but move back at your peril.
Good Course
Nice flat tee boxes with friendly lading areas. Fairways good in most areas with a few wet areas. Greens were fast and true! Would replay!
Miserable Experience
First time driving to this course, was about 10 minutes late due to traffic and was met with the rudest, grumpiest starter I've met in my life (~40 year old male with sunglasses). He set me behind a foursome and told me to not pass them.
While the course itself was ok, it was INCREDIBLY overpriced, definitely worth 30-40, but their prices are exhorbitant.
Also, the same starter roamed up to me at the 5th hole and essentially yelled at me for playing two balls because "you didn't pay for 36 holes".
Literally the same guy who told me to not pass a foursome as a solo player??? The guy was creepy and rude and should not work somewhere where he has to interact with people. Awful experience, although the rest of the staff was kind and apologized for him.
I liked it!
Played tips and found it challenging mainly due to very windy conditions. Overall course was well maintained, greens were decent and average size with little undulations. Great lies in fairways and ruffs were manageable. POP was the best part of the course. 78 degrees, sunny and did not see another golfer on the whole course. Crazy nice club house and $3 beers - NICE! Play it and enjoy, don't fret over the $59.00 as it is close to worth the money.
Club Ren is Back
Course is in good shape, which is normal. $59 round may be on the steep side though. Staff is great. Just a good day of golf. I'll be back when I can get a hotdeal or have some coupons to burn.
Don't waste your money.
Course is no where close to being worth the money they want to play it.
I wouldn't play it unless you can get it for less than 20$. The layouts unoriginal; fringe around the green is in need of repair/growth; rough is well ... "rough"; no gps in the cart (at this price?? really?); No Range at the course??? (again, really?), etc. etc.
The only positive I could mention is that they had decent COVID measures in place.
