The Club Renaissance

About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Fabulous golf course
I love playing this course
Beautiful layout with great conditions
Nice challenge and fun to play
5 hour round
Course was in good shape. Greens are hard & fast. Painful pace of play. Group ahead of us was definitely playing the wrong set of tees.
The course is in great shape. Greens are hard and fast. The pace of play was perfect.
Nice track
First time playing here. Thought it had a nice layout with big greens.
Such a great course
Course is in phenomenal condition and is easily the nicest course in the sun city/Ruskin area.
Renaissance A++
From the moment we walked in the Pro Shop you knew it was going to be a good day!
Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful, (club house is fantastic with a well stocked Pro shop).
Starter was very informative and also very welcoming.
Course was in excellent condition, greens are Firm but true (best we have played so far this season).
We would go back in a heart beat, If you have friends coming too visit, pay a few extra dollars and play the Renaissance Club!
Good, not great
The front 9 felt very vanilla, the back 9 added a bit more interesting design, but overall not the most memorable course we've played. Lack of a practice range or even hitting nets feels like a big miss. The best aspects of the course were 1 - very friendly pro shop staff and 2 - green conditions. The greens are very firm, which can be frustrating but helped make an otherwise ordinary course more interesting.
What was the wait for?
The course was closed this year for several months, upon its grand opening, I was anticipating the greens to be in tour shape and the rest of the course to be just as great. That was not to be, the greens are really no better than when they shut the course down. Me and my playing partners during the round were going over the course and decided that the course was not any better and maybe they closed the course just to let it heal. I have always liked the course and the layout is not cookie cutter, so you are challenged from any tee box. The greens are rolling on the quick side, which has always seemed to be the case.
Overall, I would definitely tell anyone to play the course as they will be challenged and entertained.
my only complaint would be to watch how you book with golfnow, they are out to take your money and not do anything to give it back to you, despite their wrongdoing.
