An absolute gem that I wasn't aware of
The course is now my "must play" course when I'm in the area. I have played several courses around the area, but what knocked off of my feet by the sheer beauty of some of the holes. They have SEVERAL great holes. I will definitely play here again!!!! As long as they keep their prices reasonable, I will be back!!!!
Very challenging course
Today was our first time playing Cypress Creek. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. The course is very challenging with some narrow fairways, elevated greens and lots of water and sand. Accuracy is very important here. Pace of play was great. There is an excellent large screen GPS on the cart and it tracks your pace of play. We were able to finish 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The GPS also does flyover views of each hole. The course was in very good condition and the greens are fast and have lots of undulations. Great value for the money. We will definitely be back
Just OK
The course has a lot of potential. The layout was great and the greens were in pretty good shape. The tee boxes and fairways need some work. $39 wasn't bad for this course. Pace of play was fantastic until they put a group off the back as we were making the turn which slowed things up considerably. Definitely not a 4.2-4.5 rated course as google and golf now have it rated. 3.5 is more realistic.
Fun layout!
Poor course conditions, but it is winter. Great layout lots of fun holes. Good for weekend locals. Coming from out of town just not the golf I was looking for. Good price thou and they were very accommodating.
Locals
Course seems to be played by lots of locals, they've found a nice layout, with decent conditions at a great price. We had the third tee time of the morning and the courteous threesome in front of us said our twosome could go off ahead of them, very kind. When we arrived at number one, three singles were waiting. None joined together and all proceeded to head out separately. Another singles showed up, moved to the tee box and asked one of the other singles to join, and was denied. I guess everyone needs there alone time. He joined us, all was good and the pace of play was fast, other than teeing off 15 minutes later than our original time.
Definitely recommend this course for the price, conditions and layout.
Played with my boys and an FBI agent
Let me apologize once again to our FBI agent who by bad luck of the draw got paired with me and my middle and youngest son who have just taken up the game in the past couple of months. When they were younger golf was an old man sport. Now that they have finished their High school years they are experiencing the wonderful game of golf. So first a big shout out to Mike for his patience.
Now for the course, it was in pretty good shape Greens were receptive when I hit them. Mostly noticed b/c our play in partner Mike was hitting them. Not so much me and my boys. The black boxes where Mike hit were in really good shape the blues where we played were in good shape Fairways were in decent shape. Any day with my boys are good days. Will definitely be back.
Fairways are very thin, but greens are excellent. Windy conditions made a tough course even harder.
A challenging course. Several blind shots, slopping greens, false fronts, and plenty of bunkers, all make for fun play. Some fairways are narrow with boarding water. Bring your thinking game.
Course Ratings
Tees and Greens were in good shape. Fairways were a little thin with a little bit of weed growth but playable. Off the fairways not much rough and then trees and sand base. Course is tight but challenging.
One of nicest courses in area
Course was kept up very well. It was also challenge to play but I enjoy a challenge.
Nice layout
Layout of the course is good, but alot of debris laying loose on the course.
