The Golf Club of Cypress Creek

Selected this course given price and location. Would choose a different course if doing over. Front 9 really rough condition including bumpy greens. Doesn’t appear money being put back into course.

The course layout was challenging. My first time playing there some of the fairways was narrow but still can hit if you are not spraying your ball.The greens were inconsistent some were fast some medium. The course had some spots where grass was sparse where I moved my ball from dirt to some grass in the fairway. Saw 2 big gators that was cool! If you play from the whites it’s a short course the blues are more challenging. Overall it’s decent for the GolfNow price.

While this place has potential… the fact that the sand traps are basically dirt, mud and pretty much unplayable would keep me from playing here again. If you are an advid golfer/better player just skip this track. Plenty of other good options in the Tampa area.

CC from a pure golf angle is a decent track for the money - $35…..but the pace of play is pitiful so be warned. Less common is the attitude of the starter….I was paired with a three ball who had arrived before me. The starter wanted me to share one of the carts which I had no problem with….however, he said they were on the driving range so I asked if I was expected to carry my bag to the 1st t to which I received a null response…so onto the 1st t I went & waited until 10 / 15 mins after the scheduled time to find that the other three had started 20 mins earlier….at which point I returned to the starter & gave him a full weight bollocking. Eventually, he gave me a cart but no apology. I’ve played CC a couple of times before but after yesterday’s experience I will not be returning at anytime. Shameful.

Greens were rolling nice and true. Skinny grass in fairways, but that’s typical for this time of year in Tampa. Pace of play slow—4 1/2 hour round on a Monday afternoon. Have played here many times—it’s a really good design for the price.

We played now 9 rounds all over Florida but this course should not be on GolfNow.

I know 5+ hours rounds are the norm in Florida (I'm from Il) and rangers do not exist and if we did not skip a hole to get ahead of a slow group it would have been even slower. Will play again since course has some nice holes and has its challenges but a 3rd time will only be if pace is better
