Golfer Reviews
A great course
After my shoulder surgery in early May, I came here to try out my "new" shoulder. I usually play in the Bradenton/Parrish area. I met a friend here from Englewood. We like this course a lot! Especially how crowded it wasn't. The course is in great shape after finally getting our much-needed rain. The greens were, for the most part, in great shape, except for a few spots. I'll be coming back.
A hidden jem
I met a friend here to play, as I haven't played since April. Shoulder replacement surgery. Our first time here was a great time. This course is outstanding with moderate challenges and nice scenery. I usually play in the Bradenton/Parrish area, but this course is worth the drive. There are some bald spots on some greens, but who doesn't have them in Florida?
I'll be back for sure.
I don't know why I can't add the star rating, but I'll give it a 5 overall.
Good value for the price
Fixing the green but even like that was playable. Love the layout and the fast pace. We finish 2 players in 2h 45 minutes. That was awesome. I will recommended and I will be back if I found a good deal.
In Need of Work
Visited this week and was very disappointed
They continue to focus and keep greens in passable shape
Tee boxes are a mess - bad for a few years but now terrible
Drainage needs a major rework
Not going to rush back until ownership decides to invest
Pro shop staff was great but they’re working with little groundskeeping support
Muddy mess
Evidently, this golf course will be condos very soon. If the owners cared at all about trying to bring Bent Tree back to its glory days, they would have had it closed or at the very least, cart path only. Carts were axel deep in mud on the fairways and the people playing made no effort to avoid damaging the course. No rangers. Nobody cares. Very sad.
Beautiful afternoon in nature
This was a very quiet course that is settled in nature. The greens are wide, and while they are not complicated, provide an opportunity for a fun day of golf. Little pressure. The day I went, the clubhouse was closed, so the amenities were limited. That said, there is a place to change and a pro Shop with the nicest people to assist. I truly felt like an honored guest. This would be a great day for a family round of golf, or golfing with people who don’t get out to enjoy the sport often. Low handicappers might be a bit bored.
Many spotty patches in the fairways make it difficult without being able to roll to a grassy patch.

Perfect below that the rain has come. I will go back weekly
Spoiled
Layout is nice. The people are nice. The greens are great and the area around the greens are great even some of the fairway areas are in nice condition but the tea boxes need a lot of work. I don’t know that they’ve been level for years one thing that happens in Florida is these boxes become crested very hard to golf on crested and tea boxes! I’m sure it’s a money thing but what comes first great conditions or ability to pay for them?
