Golfer Reviews
Needs work
Greens and fairways are being worked on, Decent course layout that needs a lot of work overtime, hopefully ready to lay by october
Course Is Being Renovated!
You can probably tell from the other reviews that course conditions have gone downhill over the past few years. However, the owner is finally putting money into the course. All the greens have been replaced and sprigged, with most of them growing in nicely, and those that aren’t are being aggressively addressed so that the course is in great shape for snowbird season. Fairways have been fertilized and seeded and are growing back in. Irrigation has been fixed. Tee boxes have improved.
The course will be in a limited configuration for a few more months with temporary greens while everything grows in. But, they’re offering reduced rates as a result.
Very much looking forward to a finished product in a few more months!!
Always a good time at Lacita
I started playing this course when it went semi private, probably about 15 years ago.
The last 2 years they have been preparing for new greens and fairways. They have now stated the work.
Currently It is a short course with temporary greens...at reduced rates.I Play the course in around 2 Hours for the 16 open holes. The course has a good layout and in good shape for being worked on.
They let you play other extra holes to make up the 18 if you want to.The club house is open and has a
good restaurant and bar. There is not a lot of busy construction equipment around the open Holes.
It was fun, pleasant to play and a happy day for golf.
Work in Progress
Though we are still playing the temporary greens, the course is really shaping up. You can see the effort and investment taking shape. Just play the temporary greens as an auto two out and sharpen your wedge skills
The Tif-Eagle greens will greatly enhance the challenging layout and enjoyment of this wonderful course.
La Cita is an old time Florida course that in now Semi Provit. It has always bee well Maintained. It is Currently being renovated wihtnew greens. it i
It always has had a very friendly and accommodating staff.. It is one of my favorite golf courses, even tho I live in Cape Canaveral, FL.
Don’t Waste Your Time
This is the worst golf course I have ever played at do not waste your time or money.
Goat Ranch
As the title implies- this course is the definition of a GOAT RANCH. The fairways are almost all in pretty rough shape, with sparse grass and numerous bare spots and plenty if weeds & crab grass.
The greens are the worst l have seen -EVER. Most have missing grass- potholes- and crab grass, that makes putting almost impossible. It is sad too see a once regal course in such a neglected state.
Wait until Fall
I really like the lay out of this course, but unfortunately it needs a lot of work. Crew said that they were gonna take off the greens in the summertime and make temporary greens until those new ones grew back. I would recommend holding off until that happens great layout good people, but really bad course conditions.
Ripped off
Can't believe that price for patchy greens with spider weeds all over them.. Fair ways were nothing better. I aimed for the bunkers so I would have a decent lie. I'll be surprised if the course is still open next year. They definitely need help. Too bad. I have seen and played in it's hay day. Good luck!!! Hate to see it go!!
Horrible!!
Nothing about this course is appealing for $49/round.
The course was awful!! The tee boxes, greens and fairways were all poorly maintained. Not worth $48 a round - should be no more than $20…. The worst course conditions I have ever seen in 15 years. It needs major work to support $49 a round. The members should be embarrassed to pay dues at this club Very bad experience, however the golf carts were great!!
Terrible golf course
There is no good hole on the course, I have seen cow pastures in better condition. tried to support local but never again.
Once was the best around, now the worst you can find..
I have lived in Titusville my whole life and played this course probably over a 100 times over the last 15-20 years. It used to be the best in town 15-20 years ago. About 10 years ago it went downhill, and has just progressively gotten worse and worse. Every couple months I decide to try it again, and everytime I am amazed to find out the course has gotten worse somehow. Today was the worst I have ever seen a course in my life. I will never return here unless it’s free or I’m paid to play here. This course needs to either be sold to a new owner, or they need to actually care about the course a little bit. The greens are furry like fairways and there are mounds of dirt and craters on the green and all over the course. Here is a video of one of the holes
A well seasoned former Private course, now open to the public.
Course is well Maintained & fairways are in good shape, The greens are good and playable, but some need attention & reseeding.
The club house is out standing. Excellent atmosphere, reasonable priced drinks, and very good food..
Rough greens
I like the course layout, but greens were horrible. Large areas of no grass, just sand. Finished 18 holes in about 2.5 hours which was nice and about what it should actually take to play.
Lots of work
Course has me owners and have plans to get the course in shape. I still see 2 years of work and growth before it's a 4 star again.
Great Day! So Much Fun
La Cita is a fine place to go for a casual vibe and links style golfing.
Birdied 16 for the first time and we will likely be back after the Easter Holiday.
Nice Improvements Underway
The course, carts and cart paths are all in much better shape than just a month ago. Quite an undertaking deserves a bit of appreciation!
