About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Golfer Reviews
Pristine
Not having play here in years, I was very surprised at the course conditions - greens excellent, fairways lush and rough was ruff so you needed to stay in the fairway! I'll be going back soon!!
Solid course and seems to be getting better
course in good shape and some greens were sanded but still rolled true. Bunkers need sand and rough swallows up your ball if you miss the fairway. Played tips and had some challenging but fair holes.
very wet
i would always recommend this course but not this time the back nine was awful very wet
Great Layout of Course
Love the way the course is laid out. Two negatives: no course Marshall and one is needed. Second negative: greens need to be maintained yo a higher standard. Overall, I enjoy the course!!
Good condition
Most of the greens were in great condition but slow. Only two holes had water and mud problems even with all the rain we've had. Pace of play was great. l finished in 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Wet Day
Course was wet, greens a little slow. Played a 4some in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Price for an after 3pm round should be cheaper. Overall course is in decent shape.
Always a great course
No more restaurant. But the course is always great. The greens were super smooth.
Wonderoexperience
Staff is extremely friendly. The course makes you think throughout as it does have some trees, water hazards. rough can be challenging. If you miss the fairway the greens look absolutely beautiful. They don’t roll as fast but once you get used to them, it’s good stuff.
Great Course
Top course we played in the Orlando/Sanford. Challenging but many potential scoring opportunities were available!
Nice layout
Nice layout, greens were in good shape but very slow. Sand traps were groomed but zero rakes provided. Fairways and t box in good shape. Family friendly tee not available but ladies tee box was sufficiently forward of men's and senior box. Nice experience and I would return. Good value.
Central Florida Local
Tee boxes all in great shape level with grass. Fairways all have lots of grass no weeds. Greens are thick with grass no bare spots or any weeds but slooow
