Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Pleasently surprised!
Somewhat off the beaten track, good length and a couple of demanding holes, all in very good condition. played 36 holes before 2pm and the value is where this shines the most.
Amazing value and friendly staff
This course has amazing value for the price. The course was in great shape. There are some challenging holes but still forgiving at the same time. The staff was very friendly and even got to meet the owner, Craig, who was very welcoming and you could tell took great pride in his course and it showed. I visit this area usually yearly to visit family and this will be my new go to course when I'm in town.
Friendly, relaxed, fun
The course as well kept up with. Friendly staff. Would go back in a heartbeat.
A fair value and decent layout.
This course is an okay value at $40 or less. The greens, tee boxes and fairways are average. The rough and sand traps werefair to poor.
Always a good round
One of better courses in east Orange County
Fairways better than average
Greens really good
Bunkers.......need sand but probably shouldn't be hitting into them anyway
Overall good time
Really nice course
Condition is better than other courses with much higher prices than Wedgefield. Love playing this course.
GETTING BACK TO WHAT IT USED TO BE
Been playing here since '85......this is where I learned to play....seen it in some really bad times
The changes on #9/18 tee boxes are a HUGE FACE LIFT and added joy......really good......just need to keep the pond cleared on 9 for a better view of where your ball lands
Overall.......course was in great shape
Restaurant missing is sad but they will figure it out
Can't wait to play again
Great value
Wedgefield seems to always be in pretty good shape. Layout is decent with some fairways tighter than others and some forgiving ones as well. Pace of play is fast weekday mornings but slows down a little on weekends. Great value when considering other courses.
