Good course for practice.
Good course for practice rounds. If you are in county, 55 bucks in cocoa beach area is a steal. Course conditions were okay, greens were furry when I was there and they could’ve used a roll- they were a little bumpy. Pace of play is also decent, there are some cases where groups aren’t moving- but that’s to be expected for the price and it being a 27 hole course. Slow groups were also accommodating of playing through. If you are looking for a extremely high quality place to play- look elsewhere- for playing often- play here twice for the price of other said places.
Brutal Heat
My tee time was 1115 and I was assigned Lakes-River as my 2 nines I played as a single through the River 9 without catching up to anyone and played the 1st 3 holes of the River before I caught up to a foursome on the 4th tee. I asked what was in front of them and was told a slow twosome. The temperature was in the mid 90s with feels like well over 100. So I skipped the next 2 holes. I played 6, 7 and 8 before I cought up another foursome on the 9th tee and my cars air conditioning was calling me 1 wasn't playing very well so bailing was east, but the course was OK
Threesome
My threescore played Lakes and Dolfin 9s
We had a great time. The starter was wonderful, directing to where we needed to go. The course was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, our golf game was not up to standards. Some addition directions for some holes is warranties. We arrived at some holes (18) not knowing where to go. Overall, pretty good day with friends.
Clusterf__k on first tee
I had an 11:52 AM tee time and arrived around 11:00. When I asked the starter which group we were to follow, he replied to just join the line. We teed off at 12:55 and waited on every hole on the front nine, nearly every shot.Fortunately most groups only played nine and back nine was reasonable pace. Tee time reservation seems to be useless here.
Not good
First the lady checking people in needs lesson in customer service. Very rude and condescending. Second the course is in horrible shape except greens are ok. Very sad this used to be a nice course.
Greens in great shape but a little slow. Newly installed irrigation line showing in course conditions.
Course was ok given that lack of rain here lately. Greens were good although a bit slow. 90 degree rule for carts was totally unnecessary as the area is in a drought. Pace of play a bit slow - perhaps more time required between starts. In back 9, Two additional groups were sandwiched between us and the group we followed on the front nine which made for a lot of waiting on the back nine and slowed the pace considerably. Lastly, the Dolphin course needs more signage on the course- lots of ambiguous roads and cart paths that are not marked well and directions are confused.
Very rough conditions
The conditions were quite rough. The lack of maintenance is way beyond the freeze damage.
I enjoy golf.
The greens were a bit rough. The dolphins tee boxes were very bare. As stated in the title, I enjoy golf.
Not bad golf course
Did not appreciate the price difference for non-residents. We are bringing money to play there. It is the first time that I paid to play on a course that charged for non-resident.
