The layout on the back nine is really nice including my favorite hole, the beautiful par-4 14th. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 10/17/2018

Too expensive for course condition
I played here for about 40 bucks and some change with a hot deal, but I heard a round with a cart here is over $120 on the weekends, if you pay $120 to play here you're a sucker. The listing kept boasting about some resort style amenities. For $120 a "resort style community" should have balls out on the range, no stones in the bunkers and I shouldn't be next to fenced in goldendoodles barking and homeowners weed eating. Pace of play got halted for me as well at the turn, I'm all about being patient, but a round should take me 3 or 3 1/2 hours tops, not over 4 hours. The value of a round of golf right now is terribly over inflated, don't spend more than 70 of your hard earned ducats here.
Very nice course. Staff very friendly. Course can be difficult and challenging. Excellent on everything
Nice course
Overall a good course to test your skills. Good green complex and conditions. Tad slow due to 90 degree heat. Fairways and tees could use a little more maintenance. However I will definitely come back because it is a good value and challenging course.
ADA
It is nice rolling course which for me was a bit challenging due to the fact that I have Parkinson’s . And it mostly affects my ability’s tho handle the slopes of the course This the first course I have played in Virginia. So I didn’t know what to expect however with that being said. I asked my cart computer be put on handicap with no restrictions. The course pro is in charge of this and I know this because I called in at the first green because like I said I have trouble walking on hills an since I still a good 40 ft from where my bsll landed about 5 feet from the green I was going to have difficulty getting to my ball and putting it in the hole and then returning to my cart
I called in and the said they would check with the pro and see if the cart was indeed on handicap The pro called me a few minutes later and explained that the setting was handicap and that there would be some areas where it would be inaccessible
There were a lot of areas that were not accessible and in my opinion the setting for handicap was nonexistent. I would respect a course and not drive on greens or do anything to harm the integrity of the course
It was a very nice course and I was playing by my self and anyone tha came from behind me I let them play through

Always a great experience
The only negative playing golf at Magnolia was out of course control...weather was brutal at 98 degrees. Glad to have bottled water throughout play to keep hydrated. Course in great shape and awesome staff is appreciated.
Wet but still in good shape
Course layout is great with a variety of distances and shot shapes required. Different tee boxes so you can choose appropriate yardage and difficulty for your game. Great practice facility for putting ,chipping and lengthy shots. Plenty of bunkers in play on tee shots and approach . Wet from 5 straight days of rain so cart path only and wet bunkers. Cart path only made it a long grueling round but to be expected from rain. Back 9 in better shape than front.
