Great course
I have been told and totally agree that it has one of the most welcoming 1st holes in Maryland, flat straight, wide open on a level playing ground. The type of hole that yearns to grab the big dawg out of the bag and let her eat, Evan if you haven’t touched your clubs in a year.
This is no Augusta but for the price you’re not going to find a better track to play. Give it a shot.
Car 54, where arr you?
Course was in very good condition except for some odd lies due to mixed grass in the rough. Some fescue and some that was fluffy light that made finding balls difficult. Greens were fast but fair. Staff was very friendly. The only thing missing was the ranger.
Very nearly a 5 hour round of golf. Teed off at 8:30am. The fourseome directly in front of our threesome made zero effort to keep pace with the group in front of them. We watched one guy make six (6!) practice swings in the fairway for crying out loud.. Watched another guy take 7 strokes to reach the green ...on a 170 yard par 3. Behind us was a twosome that had to wait on us even as we waited on every hole on the back nine. So we were constantly sharing a tee box. The course really needed a ranger.
Conditions
The rough needs to be managed. You cannot find your ball unless you step on it. For the type of grass, it is unplayable at that length. My golf cart gps was acting up on every hole.

rough too thick
it was impossible to hit a second shot if your drive went into the rough. they were set up as if we were professionals and it just made the course. not fair. it hasn't been like this in the past

We had a great golf round. Pace was good. Very friendly staff. Course was in great condition. Only issue was with the cart. GPS kept cutting us off as if we were off course.
