Golfer Reviews
Craig review
The course was in excellent condition. Staff extremely nice. Great price. We had a great golf round. Played on a Tuesday. Wish the grill area for food was open.
Will definitely play there again.
Very slow
Everything was good except pace of play and the amount. We were charged $10 more than what golf now charged.
Long rounds, horrible divots
Apparently no one fixes divots here? Front 9 took nearly 3 hours. Course doesn’t seem to care about pace of play.
Can’t recommend a 5 hour round
Course was in pretty good shape, but I can’t recommend a course that is okay with 5+ hour rounds. Called the pro shop after a 3 hour front nine, they said they’d send someone out and then never did.
Awesome course!!!
Beautiful course! Awesome lay out and great time was had. Staff had the personality of dirt. Would definitely come back as I’m a local and the round was great. But being greeted like that (Franklin) was really off putting. Throw a smile in there or be a tad bit friendly you’re the face of the beginning of the golfer experience. Not a cheap place either. All in all 5/5!
Buy some sand!!
Considering that the green fee isn't cheap, the course is dreadfully lacking in maintenance. There is ZERO sand in the bunkers, they should not even be called bunkers, should be a free drop. As many have noted, the greens are majorly pock marked from pitch marks, it's not that they don't get repaired, it's just that even after repair there is a muddy patch left behind. Some serious attention to green condition needed from staff.
Slow play
Played here several times. Not sure about returning unless it’s a Hot Deal, and even then, not sure I have the time for them.
The good - they were able to get the course pretty well cleaned up after the big storm Thursday evening. Tee boxes, fairways, layout are usually in good shape.
The bad - no one seems to take care of the greens. Blotchy, unrepaired ball marks, and just not well maintained greens.
Biggest problem. This is the second time, mid-day tee time, nearly three hours just to play nine. And we and the group in front was keeping pace. I don’t have time for a six hour round. No one does. Last time they provided a rain check, which was really appreciated, and I returned. This time, the guy in the clubhouse looked at me like I was crazy. “We don’t give rain checks for slow play.” Ok, then I’m not coming back if you can’t keep people moving and you are inconsiderate of your customers time. It’s really not that difficult to take care of your customers
First Timer
I grabbed a colleague and we decided no more top golf and no more clinics time to get out on the greens. We only complied 9 but next time we will do 18.
Getting better
I play here regularly the new GM is doing wonderful things however the bunkers are just a disgrace. We played them as ground under Repair. People are getting better at replacing their ball marks on the green.
Terrible
If you enjoy 5+ hour rounds, losing balls from good shots, 6” rough, and unraked bunkers with rocks in them, this is your place! Unfortunately, I don’t and simply will never go back.
Beautiful but rough
Fairways are beautiful greens were beautiful layout was beautiful. The rough was gruesome. Plan on an extra 45 minutes to an hour pre round looking for balls in the rough. Even if your group usually finds the fairway the group in front of you will not.
Oak Creek
Played as 2 some 9am
Good pace of play done in a little over 4 hours
Wish players would repair their ball marks on greens, rest of conditions fine
Oak Creek
Course was good. Greens were a bit slower due to some rain but overall a good round and played in just over 4 hours.
Decent. Greens could be a lot better if people fixed ball marks.
Lots of unrepaired ball marks makes what would be excellent greens into average greens.
