Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Raven Course

When I travel I like to find “go to” courses and Osprey Point fits that bill for me in this area. It’s a very solid well ran muni in the Boca area. It gets a lot of play and tee times can be hard to come by in the peak season. But in the summer I didn’t have a problem getting one and paid $54 which was a decent deal. Last year in April I paid almost double that. The range was may only which stinks. Especially for such a big range. The putting green was closed. But they were using the chipping area for a putting green. The Raven 9 was closed and it seems like it always is when I’m here. I’ve played Hawk and Falcon at least the last two times. The greens also seemed slower than normal but they were smooth. The tees and fairways were in really good shape. It was a little soft. But the course is built in a swamp. The fairways are fairly wide. But miss them and the ball is gone. There is now rough or trees. Just fairways and marsh. It’s a really fun layout. And well worth a play when in the area.

Got a chance to play Osprey Point again while in the area on vacation. It is a great public course. You will have to check frequently to get the tee time you want. It stays rather busy. I played the Hawk and Falcon 9s and really enjoyed them. The Hawk was more open and the Falcon was tighter and more of a shot makers layout. Both sides were in great shape from tee to green. The greens were awesome. Smooth and nice pace. Very interested layout. And some visually deceiving holes. Especially on the Falcon 9. As general public I paid $99 plus range balls. But for the layout and conditions I thought that was a decent deal. Overall. Well worth it if you are in the area and can score a tee time.

Awesome. The course is worth every penny and the layout is fantastic.

I guess you pay for what you get. This course was really nice with awesome practice facilities. It was in great condition and was a lot of fun. I do think at $98 it was a little high.

I have been playing this course for several years and in spite of the terrible customer service and draconian rules at the pro shop, driving range and starter I continued playing due to the beautiful scenery and good course conditions I continued to play the course. Unfortunately that time has past, over the past year the course condition has deteriorated due to over play and poor maintenance. In addition, it has become tiresome when you pay the high price to play and then get treated by the staff like they are doing you a favor by letting you play the course. To make matters worse the ever changing over the top rules prior to playing do make it out onto the course with zero enforcement of pace of play turns what should be a relaxing 4 hour afternoon round into a 5 1/2 hour agonizing marathon. That is of course if they don't kick you off the course 30 mins before sunset because they want to close. It truly is a shame they have let such a gem become so bad. If you have a choice and play somewhere else.

If I were to rate this golf course on tha staff that runs it, I would never come back, why? Well the starters and the pro shop think they are a private facility andf they have no repore with the people thye come in contact with, thjey are outright rude, and that's one reason why I will never come back, and neither will my 12 other friends that used to play there. You need to get people in there that have a pluse and some degree of respect for the people comiong to play golf, after all we are paying a premium price to play there. I konw this will fall on deaf ears but had to get it off my chest, bye bye never will see us back.

We totally enjoyed playing this course. It’s challenging yet rewards you for great shots. It’s beautiful and extremely well maintained..the people in front of us were very slow but the ranger told them to pick up the pace. Definitely a great course to play!
