Playgolf Abbey Moor

My first round of golf as a keen new golfer and I hope all venues are not like this one. Club house looks like it’s been shutdown for years, a very abrupt and unhelpful staff member working, course looks like it gets attention when someone can be bothered, more weeds and trees in the bunkers than sand. Expensive for 9 holes I won’t be returning.

Really nice 9-Hole course with a putting green to warm up with and nice clubhouse for a drink afterwards. Course is in great condition all year round and kept really well. Valerie in the clubhouse and the rest of grounds team are really friendly, makes for a great experience.

Course itself is very good well maintained with good drainage, greens could dp with being rolled to make them less bumpy.

Ammenities very basic no food or pro shop available club house looking very tired.

Abbey Moor was pretty average for me. Not bad but not great either. Not much more o can say really.

Holes are very nice. Fairways were quite dry and hard but with the recent weather that’s okay. Greens where very well maintained

Enjoyed the course, greeted by a lovely gentleman who sorted everything for me trolley wise etc.

Course was fun as I am a beginner not to difficult but does have a few bunkers and water so have to be on your game.

Do a nice Guinness to boot.

Looking for a local course which is challenging but at the same time enjoyable, the. Abbey Moor is for you. Stunning looking course with a cracking forth hole

The course played well although there were quite a few mini divers on some of the putting greens.

It’s a great 9 holer to spend time with my son.

Good course layout and plenty of challenges. Greens were a little worn in places and get waterlogged easily. However keeps me coming back as its always quiet and anyone i do meet is friendly. My favourite hole is par five 9th - havent cracked it yet but will one day. Cash only at the bar which is a little annoying but overall defo recommended for beginners/intermediate players like me.

Nice little 9 hole if you don't have time for a full 18 . Or you can go round twice ( extra £12 ) and still get home in time for school pickup .

Very friendly staff make it easier

Since our last visit (approx 4 weeks ago), the greens have really improved - a pleasure to putt on.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return.

Incredible place, full of wildlife, very impressive

Booked it online & half hour later rocked up to play. Very quiet, I’d say the most important parts of the course, tee boxes, fairways and greens were average, not the worst I’ve seen but could’ve been better, bunkers terrible !
