Sunbury Golf Centre - 18-hole Course

The only negative i found was that the fairways were very patchy, but which I can forgive considering how dry this summer has been.

Tee boxes were in good condition and the greens were superb, I thought.

Staff in the bar were friendly as were the members and other players I spoke to.

Played on my own, caught up with a two in front who kindly let me though and I played the whole 18 in less than 2.75 hours so no complaints at all about pace of play.

I’d be happy to play here again.

Course has a series of nice par3 holes. It's a really good place to improve as a new or struggling golfer as it is not a long course.

Forgiving but has tricky holes.

Tee pads: fair

Fairways: very little grass

Greens: Above average but slow

Bunkers: bad

Keep your head on a swivel here, because balls can come form many directions, but the layout is interesting.

The weather has been very dry recently, but the greens are still in peak condition—well done, team!

When I finally got set up and when to the putting green, it was immaculate!! Went to the first tee box, that was also immaculate! But the fairways, they were dreadful!

At first I thought it was difficult to get water to the fairways but I did come across some sprinkler places within some fairways, so I’m not sure why they are not watering the fairways, but the greens were absolutely beautiful and well looked after, can’t fault them for that.

When I finally making my way around I encountered a group of some seniors playing who didn’t let me through to play, so where I was on for a 2n half hour game, this group held me up on so many holes which didn’t make my experience there any better.

The clubhouse looks like a nice place, but didn’t really experience it.

Overall, I don’t think the price they are asking for is worth it given the state of the fairways. Yes, the greens are beautiful, but I have played at other courses where courses have great greens and great fairways and just over half the price.

First time, loved the layout and the staff were really accommodating. Greens were absolutely fantastic, apart from one that was vandalised. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. My playing partner had a leg injury but managed to walk the course with no trouble, Will defo be playing again.

Friendly Welcome

Beautiful day the members were very friendly and welcoming. We were booked in behind a competition 4x4. Fine for the front 9 as nice and relaxed but then the layout with par 3’s around the turn bottle necked too much so we finished at 11th which was a shame as pushed for time. The

Greens were in great condition and although short you have to place your shots to get the advantage and navigate your way round. A few well placed drives can see birdies if your approach is accurate, as well placed bunkers are waiting !

Good condition the right amount of difficulty but a touch cramped but still very good value and great fun

Very well maintained and in great condition for this time of year. Wasn’t any issues with standing water on the course. Tee boxes could be flatter but no great issue. For the price and type of course it is it’s great for a social round. Highly recommend.

Course conditions were excellent after few days/nights of rain

I've played a lot here because it's not a bad course and was good value for money. Until I played here on the 15/9/24 after my mate booked it and it was £29 for twilight! I'm sorry that is a joke, hersham is £18 during twilight hours

Fairways very good. Greens have had work on them and we're all shocking and bubbly . Impossible to do a round properly .

Ok greens were really good and fast, pathways rugged and not well laid out. Rest of the course difficult to follow through lack of signs if you have never played it before. Difficult to see the flags so had no idea which direction to hit. Some tricky holes especially on back nine. Driving range was poor as end stalls were on a slope and not level.

It was ok but could be much better.

Overall it was a fun few hours. Very open course, a lot of shouting for wayward shots and two slow groups in front were the only downsides but the sun was out and we enjoyed it.

2nd time playing here, course and greens are in top shape. Hats off to the greenkeeprs staff.

Unfortunately both times have been rather slow, especially considering the length of course. (Short)

Would be nice to see the marshall a little more active to make sure play moves. In this instance it took us 2hrs 40 mins to play 9 holes as a 2 ball.

We had to walk off unfortunately. I've asked the club for a 50% discount, still awaiting some feedback from them.

Looks like they have stepped up their game on looking after this course, pace a bit too slow but Marshall’s on hand to get things moving

We played yesterday could not believe the greens it was like playing on carpets no blemishes or signs of anything

I gave a 4 for the fairways as thay were parched but that did hamper the day
