A course where you must fit in
After a first visit I was pleasantly surprised with the course, not knowing the layout or anything about it i booked via this app.
First impressions were good, the course itself is a great, very well kept one with a number of large & challenging holes.
Unfortunately, however, at the time we played there seemed to be a junior tournament going on alongside us for members, these members were in groups & using carts whilst we walked; when it came to meeting on the 3rd hole the first thing we were asked was if we had paid to be there. This coming from some random teenager I took some offence but shook it off and offered for them to play ahead so we did not hold them up. By the time we got to the 10th green and older gentleman i had met earlier at the clubhouse when I asked for directions to the reception, then approached claiming to have heard rumours that we had not paid to be there - i quickly told him we had & offered to show proof but he declined. After such time, he then advised we wait to let another group of juniors play through to not hold them up (to which we had to wait at least 15 minutes for them to finish the hole prior) this gentleman then stayed around to watch us for at least another 20 minutes. Although a gorgeous course, it seems we did not have the correct 'look' about us & as such did not fit in.
Lovely course but does not drain very well
Lovely course but does not drain very well
Amazing course
Played here for the 1st time. Amazing course. No fault of the Club but we had the slowest 4 ball in front of us. Drinking and taking their time having a chat.
This ruined our game. All the bookings after 3.30 on this date can confirm this. There was a queue on the 10th hole of 3 lots of pairs waiting in line.
There should be a process in place for this. This would be the only reason not to come back again. What a shame.
Great condition and excellent value for money
I have played many courses this year and I would say the greens at Cookridge are up there with the best, especially for the money. A credit to the greenkeepers. I play here with friends who are relatively new to golf, as it offers a fair challenge and is forgiving, but tests the fundamentals of golf.
It's always a very enjoyable round.
Finding your way round
Needs more signings on the greenies so you know where the next tees are (not that we’ll sign postered)just needs arrows on the backs of the greens so you know where your going
Lovely
An all round good course, well maintained and the greens are amazing well done to the green keepers ☺️
Great course, prepare for slow play on busy days
Great course. But very busy, stacks of 4 balls leave you waiting 10 minutes at each tee box. This is to be expected at such a great course but could maybe benefit from spacing out the tee times slightly more.
Great condition, interesting course
Well maintained and varied.
Interesting mix of holes and friendly and accessible.

Great morning tee off
Booked an early tee time and fortunately no one before or after us. Coarse was immaculate. Late on in the round caught up with some members who had started on different hole but they were more then happy to let us play through. Par 3 over the water is great but most holes are great to look at from tee box.
