Nice course but needs some work

Woodhall Hills is a nice if challenging course and we played after a few days of heavy rain. This was reflected in some bare and muddy areas with some localised flooding. Some of the pins were actually full of water and the tee boxes needed some basic attention but none the less we really enjoyed our round.

Lovely day lovely round

Never played here before, so was looking forward to the day. Course is well looked after & has a up & down terrain which I like. What I didn’t like was a lot of fairways were sloping left or right, which basically meant for me anyway that my ball would end up in most cases rolling to the far left or right of the fairway & ultimately in the rough, but apart from that it was a nice challenging course. I always say you should play a course 2-3 times before deciding whether it’s for you or not, so I will defo give it another go.

Lots of hills

The names in the title Woodall Hills. Not you flat fairway. The course layout is really good, and the greens fantastic. But as a pensioner, we found it hard work up and down.

Great test

I always enjoy coming up to Woodhall Hills. The layout is really varied and challenges every aspect of your game. There are some superb holes! You can see how hard the greenkeepers work to maintain the course and make it playable throughout the year. The course is also great value for money.

Woodhall Hills

A very nice course. Although it hadn’t rained recently the course was wet in places. The greens were in excellent condition. The course is on the side of a hill so lots of uphill and downhill hole and playing the ball above or below the feet.

Tough rough!

Lovely course, fantastic views but suffered from both the semi and rough being far too long resulting in lost balls just off the fairway. Would play again in summer!

Really Disappointing

Weeks behind other courses in the Bradford area, played West Bradford and Hollins Hall the week previous for £13 and £16 and both are in much better condition than Woodhall £24. A shame as i really like Woodhall but almost like winter golf still boggy and wet, semi rough 6 inch long, pathways under construction and not a groundsman to be seen.

To top off what was a dissapointing round chopping out of the 6 inch semi rough and loosing balls on the fairways we encountered 20 or so senior members walking down the fairway of the eighteenth which is a blind tee shot! God knows how we managed to not hit someone, totally bizarre not the behaviour I would expect from members who love to complain about slow play and course etiquette.

Won't be playing again until the course is sorted out. Much better/cheaper options in the area
