Flackwell Heath Golf Club

Lovely course in great condition despite a dry summer and current maintenance. Greens were in good shape if a little slow. Lots of fun and challenge on the front 9 with some quirky par 3s. Back 9 is flatter and more parkland style but a welcome relief after lots of hill climbing. Stunning views from some of the greens over the Chiltern hills. The course was better than my game!

Tee’d off at 8.30 in the morning on a Thursday, finished at 12. Course to ourselves. Tee box’s were great, greens were great. Fairways decent. For £35, you will struggle to get better - 100% will come again. Holes 1-12 very interesting layout and fun. 13-18 pretty up and down. Overall, really enjoyed it - definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved it.

The tee boxes and greens were some of the best public courses in the area. I live around maidenhead so play billingbear, birds, henderson, temple frequently and I do think they have the best kept course out of those.

The greens and the tees were in excellent condition, particularly bearing in mind the lack of rain. The fairways, as expected, are bone dry which make the course quite difficult due to the cambers on a lot of the fairways.

Overall an absolute bargain for £45. We spotted round in less than 4 hours with no hold ups at all.

What a great round myself and my partner had, it all happens on the front nine, however don't be fooled thinking it gets less challenging on the back nine, the elevations make this a great challenge, starting with the Par 3 3rd and ending with the Par 3 12th, don't think its over though and a smooth run in, the 14th Par 4 and 15th Par 4 also require stamina hill climbing. Greens on the day were lightning as the very friendly Pro told us they would be, I will say this now, I would join this course, if you can play golf here you can play golf anywhere, the variety of lies, lines, slopes, green shapes and tee challenges go to make this an all round super place to play.. This is 1904 course, ghost bunkers on some holes, very traditional golf course feel. We are looking forward to a return VERY SOON!

Flackwell Heath golf club is a friendly club and a moderately testing layout. The par 3s are all excellent and testing in their own way. A few interesting par 4s. Quite a few straight up and down par 3s and the three par ;s are less interesting.

Course was in good condition for the time of year and £30 for a round was good value.

One of the most beautiful golf course I ever played..

First time here, totally blown away by the visual impact with the undulations of some holes. Front 9 especially very challenging. Tee blocks and greens immaculate condition, probably the best I’ve played this year. Highly recommend trying this course, we are definitely planning a return soon.

Second time I have played at FHGC, the course is quite undulating, with some challenging holes. Some of the holes are quite tight and there is some long rough if you are off line. The course was very quiet when we played.

Friendly bar staff, with reasonal selection of beers and drinks.

Nice course with good variety. Plenty of hills and slopes so a buggy is definitely recommended.

Beautiful golf course, greens and tees perfect. Friendly and welcoming in shop and clubhuose. Look forward to playing it again.

We played here on a Friday and were genuinely impressed by the course. There's a lot of variety between the holes and the course is in good condition. The staff were friendly and it was a great experience generally.

One word of warning, it's very steep in places, quite a workout.

Like coming back here, as the course is always in very good condition, staff are friendly and the pace of play is good. Some excellent holes, all 4 of the par 3s are memorable. Front 9 is hilly and more interesting. All tees, greens and surrounding areas are very well maintained, the rest of the course still in good shape despite the very dry weather, Overall, would definitely recommend.

Great course with interesting and challenging layout. It is very hilly and quite a hard walk but in good condition and with fast greens that run true. Overall a good experience and decent value for money.
