Huntswood Golf Club

Nice course but more signage needed to get to some of the holes. The course was in good condition considering how the weather has been. Nice bar area and friendly staff. Booked to again next week.

Pros:

All the staff were lovely advised me there was a comp in front and I could squeeze in front. Bar staff were lovely and coffee was good and quality.

Greens were pretty good. Bunkers sadly ended up in a few were very good.

Negatives:

The fairways were in a really bad way, lots of bare patches.

Tee boxes were also really bare.

I paid £55 as a solo. I feel like clubs should be able to advise in booking on golf now is there are significant repairs underway.

First time playing here at Hunstwood recommended to come here by my grandfather and me and my mate were very impressed, course layout is great, greens are in immaculate condition, and great price for 18 holes, not too busy, only downside is beginner golfers refusing to let us play through which made the experience a little frustrating. Would definitely recommmend playing here and looking forward to coming back!

Bit of a maze but a great course and excellent value for money

We played a late afternoon round and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course itself is fairly short and the fairways were a little bare. Although it’s a short course the challenge is still there as it’s an interesting 18 holes with 3 challenging par 3s. The greens were pretty slow but the ball stopped well. We paid £28 as it was a twilight rate and I’d say that was value for money.

The staff behind the bar were friendly and I would definitely play here again in the future.

Just a great little course for all levels. Have played here several times and love it! Beautiful surroundings, super staff and easy to get out and around.

Course generally was in a good place..got held up by two people in a buggy who were all over the place & didn’t know what they were doing & we were a two ball walking.

Only issue, the flags were all in terrible places on edges of greens on slopes..not sure if it was GreenKeepers revenge day at the club or something but most of those pins were awful.

Staff extremely friendly in the bar & clubhouse.

Well maintained course? Good greens and friendly staff

Friendly staff and the course is in good condition. Short in distance but some tricky holes if you're in the wrong place. I had a bad day at the office and didn't score well. No reflection on the course, just me and my swing!

Always a pleasure playing at Huntswood

Huntswood is a lovely little course, not the longest, but has some tight holes, where you need to be accurate. Large car park and very friendly staff, with clubhouse over looking the 18th hole, with outside tables.

It can be a little confusing where the next tee box is for new players, and could do with a couple of extra signposts - good value.

Lovely course some tricky holes greens on good condition

I enjoy playing the course as it’s challenging and most holes allow you to use your driver.

There is a lot of par 4s and only 1 par 5, so the relentless amount of par 4s can be tedious but it’s still good fun.

On this occasion we were stuck behind an incredibly slow 4 ball about 2 groups ahead of us. They didn’t let anyone through the entire round and at one point we found ourselves on the tee box with the group in front of us, waiting for them to finish the hole.

Apart from that I do enjoy Huntswood as it’s good value for money and always in pretty good condition!

Hopefully we don’t bump into that 4 ball again but that is not the fault of the golf club.

Good day but charged £15 more that we should have been!!!

We booked for 3 at £30 each when the price for 4 was £25 each!

We managed to take a 4th player with us but wouldn’t refund the difference saying the computer wouldn’t let them do it!

Ok, with that inflexibility we won’t go back! Both GolfNow and Huntswood should learn a lesson about the spirit of online booking!

Continuing my tour of Bucks golf courses, finally got round to playing Huntswood. Didn't disappoint, great course in great condition with well thought out holes to challenge you. Probably my favourite course so far and excellent value for money
