Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Ocean View is conveniently located just three miles west of Bethany Beach along the Eastern Shore. The club offers 27 championship holes that are divided into three different nines, Grizzly, Kodiak, and Black Bear. The holes are played in three different combinations. Each nine has a unique character but every course shares winding bentgrass fairways lined with native wetland grasses and a landscape of sandy dunes and grassy hollows. The Grizzly/Kodiak Course is the shortest of the three combinations but it still has the same level of challenge. Strategically placed bunkers come into play along the oversized greens and water hazards also come into play on a few holes There is an interesting variety of holes that each require a different strategy.

Best course in Ocean City area
Great course, a bit on the expansive side, but well worth it. fairway and green are in perfect condition, good track for all level golfers to enjoy the game.
Great time. You won't be disappointed
Came to the course an hour early, checked in, received a code for range balls. my bag was loaded onto my cart. off to the range. whilst at the range, the ranger gave me the option to head out earlier so I took it. had a great time with two other folks. pace of play was good. Course was in very good shape. No ball marks on the greens. fairways were plush. Beer cart came around during the round. Really just a great time. Very convenient location to Bethany Beach.

Very well maintained! Staff is very friendly and well organized. Great value compared to other courses in the area.
Fun Resort-Type Course
Fun course, very well kept, with generous landing areas. The greens had a fair bit of undulation and were generally fast, at least in one direction.
Errant shots could be costly with woods and deep rough, but there was plenty of room to land your drives and miss your approach shots.
The course is fair
I enjoyed the course. The white tees make it very playable even for seniors to play over 5,800 yards. A good mix of water and bunkers to make it a little challenging.
Have played multiple times. The earlier tee times are the way to go, place of play is typically better a little over 4hrs.
Dissapointing Time
I have played at BT Dunes over 20+ times. Empty Ice bucket over 90 degrees was dissapointing and still both carts had empty divot replacement fillers empty. For $140 during peak season you would hope that they would want to maintain there course better. Also a troon member, but because my pro didn't call, no discount, no consideration. Even shared back feedback, with no response. Oh well.
Beautiful challenging course
I’m glad I played this course my last day - otherwise I would’ve been disappointed with the other 3, very nice courses, I played on my trip.
