Good course that would be very good with sand traps with good sand.
Short and long par 3s and par 4s. Greens are nice for public course. Wish they fixed the sand traps. Mostly heavy and wet sand.

Great Course
This is a great course, one of the nicer and more fun in Bakersfield. Pace of play can be rough due to how many golfers play in a day, I also feel like I run into more Senior walking groups here of 5. If you plan to play Kern River that is part of it, don't be in a rush and enjoy the day. Also, you can't go without getting a cheeseburger.

Great for 33 bucks. Conditions were pretty good. A couple of bunkers were under repair. Staff was great. My only complaint would be pace of play. Had 4 groups on the same hole at one point. For the price though you can’t beat it.

We love to play at Kern River Golf Course, I just think that single and two person teams should be grouped together to make the day of play go smoother and not be backed up at every hole waiting and waiting.

Bang for your buck
Great course, we had a great time. The greens are very hard to read for myself and that makes it even more of a mission to play. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Pace of play was not an issue at all.
