Amazing course for beginners
I’m fairly new to golf myself. I started around 2 months ago, and this is one of the better courses for getting into the game. It’s open and not a lot of danger for losing balls. I’ve played course where Ive lost 10 balls throughout the round. This course I played 3 balls, and only lost 2 because I tried getting to brave and banging out dome drives. Haha.
Patience is a Virtue
This public course is perfect for beginner/average golfers. If you’re a single digit handicapper, this course probably isn’t for you. Depending on the time of day, you will be doing a lot of waiting around. There are tons of hackers (like me), who play this course. The driving range doesn’t allow any clubs that go longer than 225 yards Beach Hut Deli is near the pro shop, and their food/drinks are excellent.

Best value in sacramento
If you like to walk and can get a hot deal this is the best value to me in the area. There are some courses that charge almost the same price for a bucket of balls. I’ve only been going to Cordova for about 6 months but they really do take great care of the course.

Great Value
The staff was great. The greens are in good shape but cut very long so they are slow. Great laid back course for beginners and a quick weekday walkable 18. Anyone posting really negative reviews are forgetting what they paid for their round.

Cordova Golf Course
First, the slashes on the scorecard don't make sense. I don't want to study the scorecard to figure out what par is. Second, some of the rough was deep and wasn't grass.

Nice course. Great Value
Cordova Golf Course has really improved.. The fairways and the greens are well maintained. The staff is friendly. And having Beach Hut Deli on site has been a great addition. I really enjoy playing at Cordova!

Decent little muni
The course is decent. Played in windy conditions, which meant that the driving range was closed to woods and hybrids.
Fairways and rough in good shape, greens were slow and slightly shaggy. A couple greens had bare spots or spots under repair. Friendly staff, decent value for the money.

Ooooof.
Only reason I ever play here is because I'm able to play for a little over $20 including cart and range balls. This place is painful. They need to level/fix their range area that the mats sit on, need sand on the carts, score cards on the carts, swap the range balls to something slightly better, maintain the fairways a little better, regulate on the slow play. What should take me 2.5hrs at most took over 3.5hrs. My last resort spot.
