Bad greens

The greens were incredibly slow with heavy ball marks and some aeration plugging. The tee boxes were a mess. No grass just dirt.

Sure Wood Not Good

I’ve been playing Sherwood Forest since the 1970’s & it’s a great layout & fun to play.

Unfortunately they just can’t keep the course in good shape during the hot summer months. I won’t return until they can get the course in better shape.

I feel it’s in awful condition

Just finished 18 at Sherwood and this is probably one of the worst conditions I’ve seen it in. Pace of play is always great. Middle fairway doesn’t mean anything, mud balls on numerous holes, tee boxes are muddy, greens are muddy. Just awful for $60+. When mentioned to the pro shop employee, his response was “yeah.” Normally don’t write reviews but felt today’s round needed it.

Great price with golf now, pace was great, fairways were a little messy with work being done but noting too major.

Beautiful course

Love the layout and the vibe. Laid back. Trees can be your friend or your enemy. Depends on how they feel that day lol but adds plenty of shade for a hot day. The only thing was their golf carts seemed extremely slow.

Great course to play! Lots of shade.

Highly recommend this course. Greens are well kept. There are lots of trees that make it challenging but also provide good shade when it's warm. Creek that runs around it makes it a beautiful and peaceful place.

The greens are in great shape. Play here a few times a year and have been extremely disappointed in the past with condition of the greens. So bad automatic 2 putts given. They have been completely refurbished and look and play great. Kudos to Sherwood Forest Golf Club for investing in their course for all to enjoy.
