Foothills Golf Course - Championship 18 Course

About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Overall
The course has not changed which is good. The new clubhouse is now open, great to see and very nice! Definitely more of a club feel which is cool but at the same time the feel of the old one still lingers in my mind. Food and staff are great, one thing, the Philly cheese steak, not bad but if if your expecting a Philly don't order it. Though a good sandwich l, it is far from a Philly on so many levels. Again staff as always us amazing.
No Marshall in the course and our foursome has to wait every shot. And one of our foursome was a lady just learning so she was slower than normal. It was a grioup a couple ahead of us.
Frustrating
Great home course!
Foothills is my go-to course for a quick round in town. Great availability, and friendly staff. Can’t wait to see the new clubhouse once it’s done!
Beautiful Day for a Round
Beautiful 82 degree day and the course was in good condition. Had a very pleasant experience.
great day, great course,
The day was perfect and the course conditions were great. Fairly busy but decent pace. The parking lot was a little crowded and check in was on temporary trailer. They are building a new clubhouse which appears to be very large and very nice looking. Looking forward to coming back.
Late season summer conditions
Great views of the mountains, trees and bushes changing colors for the season and birdies to be had everywhere!
I wish players would fix ball marks... the rule and common sense is fix yours plus one or fix two on every green :)!
Cheers!
One word: Chaotic
Visiting from out of town , called several times in regard to rental clubs and was told should not be an issue. Well it was an issue, no clubs available except for one set of women’s clubs that I shared with my son. The pace of play was absolutely painful. Every tee box had three groups … nobody came by to move groups along. I watched on multiple occasions the groups in front take two and three tee shots each and not a single staff member helping to move things along. Gave up after 12 holes and called it a day.
Perfect Day for Golf
Foothills is closer to my home, somewhat challenging course and in good condition. Staff is always super friendly. Next year there will be a new clubhouse and restaurant.
Blast warning... :)
Finally... I reached all Par-5 holes in two, putting for eagle on each. Didn't make any of them but I'll take tap in birdies any day! Greens are in better shape compared to last month and the construction on the new clubhouse is coming along nicely.
With the Fall colors ramping up, this is definitely one of the key courses to play your late season golf at, along with the Meadows. Cheers!
1/2 cart
Tried to modify to 3 players through golf now app and app would not let me and course said it had to be done through app since it was prepaid.
Get to the course and they wanted another $22 per person for half a cart. Ridiculous for a Foothills Park and Rec course.
