Calusa Country Club

This was my first time playing the 18 hole course. Great course layout—expanded fairways, no big trees (new construction), multiple bunkers and water throughout. Pace of play was good but par 3s can backup and then thin back out. Great friendly staff that are ready to help as soon as you arrive. No ranger on the course. They have a cart girl but not always to be found so stock up if you need something when she does come around. They also have a 12 hole course. Will definitely be back!

Good pace of play today. Challenging 18 hole without tree o obstructions since newly built course/housing. Lots of bunkers and water to keep it challenging. Greens are hilly and fluctuate on speed. Recently seed fertilized took a bit of the closer turns out of the reads today. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable—always have a great experience with them! I keep coming back for play!

Great condition for being open a year. Good rolls on fairway, slower greens than LWN. However, they just seeded greens and there’s some tougher unexpected reads right now-mostly turns right by the pinhole where it’s not even (possibly issue with hole install IDK). Still has me coming back often. Staff is fantastic-super friendly. Weekend play tends to be slower than weekday buy typical for any course.

Course is in great shape as usual. Played in just under 4 hours. Will definitely be back, great value.

Very windy area

By far the best conditions is the area. It was so nice to hit off a fairway full of grass and greens that were rolling true. Since the course is just a year old the greens were rather firm and it was tough holding approach shots. But that is more of an observation than a complaint. Definitely will recommend this course to anybody that asks

Excellent Condition, very cool layout. Lots of Risk/Reward type shots. Greens were nice. Fairways were incredible.

My friends and I had a blast and all played very well just due to the top tier conditions and layout. Will be back 100%.

One of the best golf courses of the area by far, greens and fairways are in excellent condition a lot water which makes the course a little challenging

If i want to play a fun course thats is top rated and fantastic shape, this is it!

Very disappointed with the conditions and amenities at this course.

The club house is a mobile trailer. The bathrooms were outhouse in need of maintenance. The golf carts paths in many cases were a dirt road

It was difficult to navigate the course with all the housing construction from Lennar

It obvious to me that th course should have delayed opening until the course and amenities were available

At some point the course will be fine but I would wait a few years

Course is in excellent condition, can be challenging between holes.

First time playing Calusa. Impressed right away, driving through the gate. The grounds are beautiful. A ton of construction going on and no pro shop or restaurant yet (had a hot dog stand at the turn = excellent). The course itself was in great condition. I was surprised how nice the fairways were at this early stage. It's a good layout, with some holes that are long but with wide fairways. Greens were on the hard side, but not fast....and they were smooth. Biggest gripe is pace of play. For the life of me, I don't get how courses like this don't have Rangers to keep the speed up. Playing a round in 5 hours is NOT GOOD.

If you don’t mind a 5-hour round, I would highly recommend. I don’t play the course often because of the pace of play, but worth playing every once in a while. Usually windy at the course and the design varies nicely and challenges your game but not overly so. A ranger could help the pace of play but they don’t have one. I would give 5 stars if pace was better.
