Sister to a championship course
Played LN Piper course many times since it opened. The course is always in excellent condition, the approach shots require a deft touch and the greens roll smooth and fast. This course along with its sister course Commander, are a must play asap. They will eventually close to public play leaving the members with two exceptional courses to enjoy!
Commander is an Absolute gem
Wide open fairways. But the greens and approach shots will really test you.
Beautiful set up. Great scenery, brilliant facilities and friendly staff.
Always top notch
Always in great condition. A challenging course with fast greens. Impeccable shape. Love the amenities and the staff. Never a bad round here. Predicting this course will be top ten in near future.
Beautiful course
Lakewood National Commander course gets all the accolades but Piper course is right there! A beautiful course with a great layout. In great shape and greens were fast. I think it’s more challenging than Commander. I really enjoyed playing here. Practice facility was second to none. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Piper not as good as Commander
Piper starts with 4 very challenging golf holes, but after that, it’s just an okay golf course. The greens were in good shape, rolled true, and we look forward to returning.
Beautiful course
Really nice course with some tough holes. Beautiful facilities and great tiki bar afterwards. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.
Well worth the effort, in great shape, greens rolled nicely & held the line, sand traps were playable. It was fun.

Course in excellent shape. Greens were very expansive, quick and true. A+ conditions!
Nice layout. Lots of tee decks. Course in great condition. One of the best in the area.
Moved to Commander by the starter
Ratings are for the Commander course as we were moved there by the starter. Great course, need to go back and try Piper
Lakewood Dreams
Great round @ Lakewood National Piper. I've played alot of golf in the Sarasota Area and Lakewood Nationals Course Rank at the top. Excellent conditions, Challenging layout and great amenities. Top Tier Golf in the area.
Course is outstanding
Can’t ask for any more in a course except for a lower price. That being said if you haven’t played this course you have to. You won’t be disappointed
Felt likeConcrete base greens
Not a very aestherically pleasing course for sw florida. Greens were horribly fast. I like a challenge but this was ridiculous. Too many other choices. Ironically it is is lennar community. If you know anything about home builders- imagine a lennar golf course versus a toll Brothers course :)
Review
Good practice area. Beware, they may want you to ride with someone you don’t know even with COVID.
I will play it again.
