Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch

Course was in great shape other than greens were slow as they had been sanded just recently. Played the back nine in 1.5 hours.

Azario offers a challenging layout and great conditions. Always an enjoyable experience.

Great golf course, tees at every level but never once did a staff member thank me. Even though tipping the half way hut and the bar cart driver, tipped 20% and they could not even say "Thanks". Most unfriendly serving staff of any course in Sarasota/Bradenton area. Play there a few times a year and never seen that before.

Excellent course conditions currently, just a little slow on the pace of play, but it’s that time of year.

Fun golf course for $100, but leaves a bit to be desired at the $185 price point

Very subjective review here- Going to keep it short and to the point. Not worth the 150 and certainly not a layout that brings excitement to your next shot. Wide open and uneventful…southern dunes is open but full of character. Conditions were good to very good but nothing that excited me. Maybe the course needs to mature. I’ll wait 10 years and try again.

Azario was overall in very nice shape but some of the greens were starting to suffer some damage near the fringes. Its one of the top courses in our area and even with It’s Hefty price tag, it’s a Very Fun track, especially the back nine!

Solid track but you can do better in the area. Anyone with a brain is all set on a 5pm “hot deal”. You can probably get a few holes in before dusk. Throw a afternoon tee time out there for us, not night time plz

Fantastic course with top of the line in cart GPS with other features available for display of the hole/course. The course was in immaculate condition and the amenities were spotless clean. Excellent practice areas with a huge putting green, real grass range hitting to targets on the water, and a designated chipping area all balls supplied with green fee. I wish I lived closer to play more often. I highly recommend. The only downside is the pace of play was slow on the day and time we went at 4.5 hours for 18.

This is an exceptional track in first rate condition. The landing areas are wide but reward forethought. The greens are a little wacky in terms of mounds and swales but roll true and, for a public course are very fast. Proshop estimated 10 but our group thought 10.5 at least on the stimp. Fairways very soft, rough not particularly tough and the greenside conditions allow for a range of chipping styles. We had to wait for a slow twosome but still played in four hours flat which for a weekend in Florida is ok. The course is certain to go private soon so take advantage of golfnow rates while you can. This is my new favorite public course hereabouts.

Played here with my cousin while visiting the area (he lives here), and found the course to be in excellent condition. All the cart path's clearly marked. Your golf cart didn't shut off prompting you to put it in reverse if you got to close to unrestricted areas. The tee boxes clearly marked, the fairways carefully cared for, and the. greens in excellent condition. My putting was atrocious that day but that was user error. I wish the cart girl was seen sooner, the soonest we saw her was the 14th hole. I had asked for my typical transfusion but she was out of the ingredients. They do have a bar with some snacks out by the driving range and the turn with friendly staff and Transfusions in the can version which I ended up trying but not the same. They had prepared hot dogs and prepackaged sandwiches. Wish they had a bar or grill to stop at, maybe they did and we just went to the wrong area? Regardless, the course was in excellent shape and I would certainly go there again, however with the rapid building of housing, I expect it to be a member's only course within the next year or two. Plenty of undulations on the greens and devastating pin positions. Highly recommend.
