River Oaks Golf Course

Great condition, pace of play 3.5 hrs, staff and amenities are excellent and all for $35 green fees with cart

I like this course, but the sand trap have no sand. There is more gravel than sand.

We’ve played here many times over the years.

I’m glad it’s still open. The course is tight and challenging with lots of water hazards but good for all levels of players. It’s in rough shape on many holes and has been modified to adapt to the environmental changes. Lester and Mac are the nicest guys and are very welcoming.

The place has dirt patches all over. Wouldn’t go out of my way to book a time here.

This course has two types of fairways, barren dirt or crab grass.

I played 18 and was disappointed. A lot of the fairways lacked grass. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the staff was very helpful.

Grounds and sand traps were horrible, after 12th hold GPS didn't match the courses

This course used to be nice. Idk what happened but the thrill is gone.

This was the worst condition I have ever seen this course. Every hole had flood damage.

Conditions are terrible. Don’t waste your time or money. I wasn’t expecting Augusta but cmon, I wasn’t expecting a wasteland either. The head ground keeper should be fired immediately and that’s if they have one. At the turn the starter asked us how was the course? We looked confused and asked him has he been out there. It’s just grass & dirt, actually more dirt than grass. Several fairways were bare. There’s no way this place could be brought up to speed anytime soon. This course was beautiful years ago. What happened River Oaks??? Won’t be back

The River Oaks staff led by Lester and others are the absolute best.

Tough year with little Calumet and the rain but they have the course in great shape!
