Wild Laurel Golf Course

Four greens had damage that made putting those holes impossible. Fairways were also unattended and in poor shape. It has been a hot summer in East Tennessee however this course never seems to have any money spent on the course it's self but charge a premium on the green fees.

I love playing here. We play here a couple times a year. I would come back more frequently, but the price doesn’t justify its quality. Some of the greens are in really rough condition. If the price was better I’d make the trip up here more frequently.

I have seen better looking dog parks. The greens were awful. The bunkers were terrible, grass growing in some of the bunkers. The best part was scenic drive to the course. I would not play this course for free.

Great scenery. The greens were a little rough and sandy. All in all a nice place to spend an afternoon.

It's a shame they have such an incredible spot and do not take care of it or maintain anything it seemed. The fairways were tall enough to lose a ball, the greens were barren and patched out. And then the Gnats were so thick you could barely breathe without inhaling multiple bugs each breath.. extremely disappointed in the course, which sucks because I was really looking forward to playing there...

$60 for this course is insanity. In fact, the self-manipulation that has to go into justifying that rate, must be the most serious case of denial that has ever existed…outside of rehab. Poor form “Wild Laurel”. Literally, figuratively, and physically.

I did almost make a hole-in-one, though.

There was 4 of us that golfed. The course was wet from recent rain and we were cart path only however the fairways are somewhat narrow so it wasn't difficult with the CPO. There were several greens that were in bad shape however the greens that were ok were good to go.

Just like all homeowners here in TN, they can't catch up with mowing due to almost daily rain.! When they do get to mow, it's probably wet. This leads to clumping. I love this course and play it every year when in the Smokies.

I have played this course many times over the years, this is by far the worst it has ever been. I don’t know if the greens keeper quit or they just quit caring. Tee boxes not mown, fairway at best 1.5” long, greens extremely diseased with many bare spots. Weeds 3” long on fringe of greens. Hope they can get it back.

This is a great track and mountain course . It’s very picturesque but whomever owns it is missing a great opportunity. You can tell that there has not been a lot of maintenance done to the course. The tee boxes and fairways were all crabgrass and multiple greens on the back nine were just a mess. Also, there is no driving range . The staff and club house were great and friendly. This course could get so much more play if the course was in better shape. I doubt that I will be back anytime soon.

You shouldn't be able to lose your ball 5ft in the ruff or 10ft from the green. The ball sits down and you will not find it until you are 5ft away. Really slows down pace of play, and raises frustration.

We went with our family that had one person that never played and another that rarely plays and it was a perfect course for them to learn on. Pace of play was great and even our more experienced players enjoyed the layout. Condition of the course could use a little help but overall was great for our purpose. Not a place I would take players with very high expectations.

Tee boxes need to be cut badly, fairways are coming in. 2 greens are in serious need of help. Overall the course appears to be coming around for the better. Don’t give up on the course, they are working on things. MUCH better shape than it has been the last 2 years. Pleasantly surprised, keep up the progress Wild Laurel.
