Good course
Everything is in good shape. Some challenging pin placements. Good experience
Great mountain golf
Lovely place with fantastic views. Course conditions were impressive and pace of play was consistent. We finished 18 in just over four hours. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Chestnut Mountain Gem
Chestnut has continued to be a very good semi-private mountain course for conditions of the fairways and greens, improved cart paths and tee boxes and challenging layout. Played in just under four hours without any significant pace issues.
Amazing Views
Golf course was in awesome shape, and you can’t beat the views. Very challenging and was a fun place to play.
Excellent Condition
The course was in excellent condition. The recent rains have the greens in great shape.
If u like tiny narrow greens
No driving range just a net ! Friendly enough people but not worth the drive or value for the money . Seems all the greens are 10 paces across and 30 and long , kinda annoying, bunkers not in good shape . Tee boxes badly beat up . Don’t understand the the 4 star rating and the only reason I booked it . Won’t return
Great little mountain course
Great shape with interesting holes. Very much a mountain course.
Chestnut Mountain is a great place to play
I had a wonderful experience for my first time playing Chestnut Mountain. The service was exceptional and the course was in great condition. It is a fun layout to play that also makes you think throughout your round. I definitely recommend playing here when you can.
Chestnut Mountain
Great mountain course, some wonderful views! Pace of play was good, greens were a little slow but true staff was friendly and helpful, some holes a little tricky with layout . Would play again
Rainy Golf Day
Greens were in great conditions despite rain before and some during the round. The course was not just on this Sunday afternoon. I was pleased with the variety of hole layouts, Mountain View’s, greens, and quality cart. It’s a little confusing going to the back 9, as you cross the main road 2 times and the signage is not super clear. Fun course and one of my favorites in the area. Great food as well!
Great Shape Now, Need A Few More Tweaks
This course is in fantastic shape now compared to what it used to be before the new owner group took over. The only issues I saw is that the greens are really slow but in really good shape. The greens are tiny which makes it a challenging course especially with all the hills and undulations on the greens. There are also two holes on the back that have greens that are hidden by a gully of heavy tall brush. I think those holes are 12 and 13. I would clean those gulleys out to give golfers a clear view into those greens. They also give you a cheat sheet on where to hit the ball on certain holes to stay out of trouble, I loved that. Overall a fun course to play now. Follow the cheat sheet, it really helps. Keep in mind too that the greens are slow when you play. So give your putts some extra umph to get the ball to the hole.
A Defenite Must
Super friendly staff, even giving you a "suggestions/recommendations" card for each hole, if you've never played the course before, like me. Course is beautiful with the mountains in the background. Nice wide open fairways, and narrow manicured greens, giving a nice balance for an average golfer.
Chestnut Mountain
I enjoyed the course immensely. While challenging, I found the course provided just the enough amount of challenges. As this was my first time on the course, the staff and many of the players were very helpful with good advice and tips on playing the course. I would highly l recommend the course. Nigel
Overall reflection
Love the course and love the staff. I am here with my friends once or twice a week. Only complain I may have as I wish that the traps were kept in better condition overall A+.
Challenging Course in Good Condition
This is a somewhat challenging course. Very hilly as one might expect for a mountain course. A lot of uneven lies due to the terrain. Rough around greens was very fluffy. This is not a bump and run course. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Overall, a good experience.
