Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

Somewhat tight but very playable! Fun course to play

Cummings cove is always a great time, it’s still winter conditions, but greens still are in great shape even considered the time of year, lay out has shots going both ways, fun up hill and some massive down hill drives. I’ve played many times here, and will continue to play here many more times

WOW...and that's not because of the course! Booked this round on GN not for the price but for the location and convenience while visiting my family in Fletcher NC. I looked at the reviews, seemed excellent. I now know they were and are overated, probably mostly members or locals. I went back on a few reviews and they truly nailed it.
First time playing , went in to a small pro shop and new the man behind the counter was Dave. Let's say Mr. Personality. Honestly does do nothing for the course. I say course because he didn't give it a club feel. Not sure what his problem is but this is not a private course. They must have plenty of $$$ because the way he tests first timers they would NEVER recommended the course to anyone.. Someone needs to teach him how to ring up a what will be a $2 signature water ball. Took 10 minutes. I got checked in a had no idea where hole #1; was. Very small putting green and no range. No food , No water on course. Outdated bathroom facilities.
Course itself was ok. Nothing blew me away. Greens were weird... spotty grainy and inconsistent, they looked like leopards. Looked liked they were punched late still seen the aerification holes on the green. Did not roll true.Cups on the greens haven't been changed.. Cart path only. I'm for protecting the fairways but I've played in conditions were a 90 degree was acceptable.
It seemed like not much maintenance is done in the winter on this course. Bunkers we're not kept up, collars around the greens very weedy. I would say the fairways were ok. Not mowed though. Not much roll out.
After the round went back to pro shop to get some gifts for friends and family but when I went in Dave never said How was your round? How was the course? Or How are you can I help you with anything? Still the No personality Dave. I would spent a significant amount of $$$ but left with a $2 signature water ball. I've experienced better service from a goat ranch, Dave can learn a thing or two. He would not be employed if I had any say so. Dave thinks or wants this to be a private course but it's not, I enjoyed myself more at Muni course who genuinely appreciate you playing their course.
I will not recommend or be back.. On my way to Tobacco Road....They care and do it right.

Wow....and that's not because the course was good. It's because Dave in the pro shop has a negative no personality disposition. I'm not sure if he thinks him and his buddies are above everyone else, not sure. Talking to him a few times over the phone he was the same. It looks like he thinks he is a little pro shop money taker that wants only locals to golf there and thinks his club should be private. Terrible attitude. I've run into many guys like this. Unfortunate for the club. Not every out of state golfer is there to reck the course. Im a former GC superintendent and the winter conditioning looked very drab. Nothing stood out unfortunately...maybe staffing issues. Cups aren't even changed, greens were spotty no true roll. Bunkers horrible, collars weedy. I didn't play this course for the price, I played it because of the reviews. Disappointed. Oh yeah....I was ready to spend about 1k for golf merch but Dave has no clue!!! You should politely say to your guest, How was your round? How was the course? Neither!! Oh yeah, you have to CARE. Dave your a disgrace to the industry Last thing.... Can someone show Dave how to ring up my new $2 signature Cummings water ball on the register.

Was told when we teed off that the men’s league played at a fast pace. That was NOT the case. Asked if a buddy and I could go off before them, was told no. A 5:15 round is not a favorable pace for a golf round.

There was a frost delay, so the first hole had a little back up. We asked if we could go off the back 9 first and then only have to wait on every hole on only 9 holes. The starter was hesitant but said go ahead. We played the course without waiting on both sides in 3 hrs. The sand traps could use some help. The rough could be reduced to find your ball easier. The rough was twice the height of the ball and did not hold up the ball. We liked the views and will be back. Just stay out of the sand traps and the rough and you will enjoy this course

Not long from any tee boxes, course makes up for it with fast undulating greens in good shape. Narrow front nine with anything off fairway adding to your score. Pretty setting!

Amazing layout - Amazing greens- Amazing course but you can’t drive on one fairway and we played when it was dry. GPS carts lock you outve all fairways Also, no hotdogs available at the turn.

Such a beautiful course! Every hole was scenic and well maintained... However, the putting green condition puzzled us. They were extremely dry and uneven condition. Some part of the green was super slow and some part is so fast. Impossible to putt. Fun course to play. It was somewhat disappointing to see there is no driving range, no water station, no ball cleaning station, and no beverage cart. We were happy to see the cart come with the GPS at least. Will be back to see the putting green is better.
