Mountain Harbour Golf Club

We were really looking forward to the round at MH. The weather took a turn for the worse that we didn’t expect. Started drizzling on us on hole 3 and didn’t let up much the entire round. Got cold as we got wet! 🙁 Had some course maintenance guys working on hole 2 that was annoying cause they didn’t let up with chainsaws while we played through. Understand they had to do what they had to but with the wet conditions it was just another let down for the conditions. We will go back at some point hopefully when weather is warmer and o rain.

The course is short in distance and have the smallest greens I have ever played on. The cart guy had a “country club” mentality even though the course is somewhat “pastor like”.

Greens just how you want them and great views. What more can you ask for. But some of the residents with property on the golf course are not so friendly. Don’t think they like non members playing THERE course.

This is a fantastic course. We always have a great round. However, today was incredibly slow. We had to wait on every hole but the first and the last. The ranger came by and told us on the 3rd hole that there was a very slow group with inexperienced golfers ahead of us. He said he talked to them about letting people play through, but apparently, they didn't listen to him.

Another great round. The greens were great. Pace was excellent until we got behind a rude group of 5 that refused to let us play through on the last 4 holes. They stacked up 3 groups behind them.

Course in excellent condition . Staff very friendly and attentive . Only thing I would change if they would maybe add some healthy alternatives on menu . Food we had was very good though .

There are a number of blind shots into the fairway and the green so getting a feel for the course is very important. Par threes are fair but challenging which make them fun to play. All the par 5s are reachable in two with a good tee shot. Very few par fours are damaging to your score if you remain in the fairway with your drive. Being offline with any tee shot or fairway shot can bring an explosion in your final score so beware. Fall weather brings falling leaves that bring about many lost balls so drop another one near where you think the ball exited the fairway rather than wasting time trying to find your lost ball to help your round stay on time.
