Chatuge Shores Golf Course

Very good course layout with a nice variety of picturesque holes. Greens were being aerated and sanded but it did not interfere with play.

Would definitely recommend this course and will play it again!

Chatuga Shores was an exciting course. Resting on the shores of Chatuga Lake, the rolling hills added difficulty while the scenery provided a picturesque backdrop. Best enjoyed with great company.

When you play this course, I would suggest making sure the parking brake is completely locked. The golf carts tend to wander especially on the second fairway! Enjoy!

It was so nice returning to the course I grew up playing in my childhood and teenage years in the seventy's. So many memories of great times.

Chatuge shores is a great layout with plenary of challenging holes and features. I would highly recommend!

Course was in great shape however they do need a ranger, there was a 2 some 2 groups ahead of us that took up to 10 minutes before teeing off causing a major slip down. Even at the last green they didn't clear the green till they had all the heir stuff packed up. A ranger could have prevented this. Other that that we've played her many times and will play it again.

Had very low expectation from the reviews. Ended up being pleasently surprised. Most important the greens were def not fast like a premium course but were full and rolled smooth and did start to speed up as it dried out. Not fuzzy, no bare spots, etc. They def fight keeping the grass mowed here but thats better than no grass at all. Tees are def similar to rough height but again better than uneven sandy teeboxes. overall great day.

The staff was helpful and polite. I went out right after a tournament came off the course hence the 5 star pace of play. Course conditions are not good overall, I will not go into all of the things that are bad. Just needs a lot of time and effort to get it into playable shape. I came to work on some things in my game and I accomplished that so I was glad for that. Hopefully there is someone there who wants it to get better as much as we the paying customer does!

Grass on tees way too high. Had to wait on the mowers for three greens. Many areas around the greens were scalped. Greens themselves were extremely slow due to the height of the grass.

Played 5 holes got rained out they did give us rain check

Great place. Course is not 5 out of 5. But no where else has beaten Chatuge Shores in friendliness! Always been very good to me! Always lets my boy play and learn for free. (8 years old) That’s a main reason why I keep coming back! And will continue to do so!

Course is in great shape. Greens were very slow but to be fair with all the rain we have had it would be hard to mow them, they did roll true.

Always a pleasure to play here, the staff are always nice and fun to talk to.

A few greens still under stress from winter but overall the course is in great shape!

A few slow players so missed a few holes to get around them but otherwise great!
