Slow play as usual! Ball marks!

10:30 TT off we go. 3 groups on nearly every hole and slow... Just excruciating, 15 to 20 minutes to play an easy par 4, don't even mention par 5's. Standing around talking, sitting in their carts next to the green figuring out scores, pull up to the tee and do that. Walking to and from their ball, trudging is a good word! One guy whacks in the woods let's all go look for his ball for 10 minutes. Putting out, clubs strewn all around the green, 10 minutes to gather all that up! Just stupid slow. Yes I am harping on this, it is a major issue here, always. There is never a marshal on the course, never! I have written numerous feedback talking to slow play this summer and nothing has been done. I guess they don't care to be honest. Many others have left feedback about slow play as well. I hate to have to write this but someone has to. Yes the layout is quirky but conditions are 8/10. You just can't enjoy it when you wait 10 minutes to hit every shot. It gets old. Oh yeah! I must have repaired 50 ball marks, no one seems to know how to or be able to bend over and fix their ball marks on the greens. Same attitude, I just don't care. Could be a fun course if managed properly.

Great Mountain Course

Not the longest course, but very interesting and challenging holes. Need every club in the bag. Lots of eye candy with some magnificent views and nicely laid out holes. Reasonable pricing so it's a good value as well. Enjoy!

Doesn't seem to change much!

Played here on and off most of the summer. Layout is quirky, greens are pretty good, surrounds still need work. Tee boxes for the most part are acceptable. Pace of play seems to be an all the time issue. Read the feedback everybody talks about it! We waited on every tee. 4.5 hours on a Tuesday, you tell me? The course is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Could be great if the effort were made. I play here when I can get it on GN hot deal under $30. I would not pay the daily rate to play here. It is within 30 miles of where I live so not too far.

Has potential. Needs more work.

I think they are 50% of the way to being what it should be. Cart was rough, cart paths are very rough. First cut areas are weedy. Fairways are very good. Plush. Greens are slick and slanted... tough communication. Pretty course.

One off

Beautiful clubhouse. Course is a mix of crabgrass etc. in the rough and first cut. Fairways are very plush and nice to hit from. Tee boxes excellent. No rollout on any shots.

The cart I had was rough and the overhead gps screen did not function fully. Cart paths are bad and need renewal. The layout is short and it is a shot maker's course. Numerous blind shots which prohibited view of the location of golfers ahead. All staff personnel were above average friendly and helpful. Given the course location and mix of issues above I will not likely return, even though the rates are at least reasonable.
