Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

Cart path only because of the rain yesterday, but still great.

The starter allowed a five-some out 2 groups ahead of us. The group of us were terrible golfers. Round took 4:45. We usually play 18 holes is 3:30. Might come back, but this day was not fun.

Greens were not great today but other than that I like playing here when you can drive on fairways . And pace is pretty good course i

The greens were punched and top dressed the day I played. The course adjusted the price down to reflect the less than optimal putting conditions. Shot values were really good. Recommend this course.

This course does not drain water at all. The fairways are so wet and the grass hasn’t come out of winter yet. It’s cart path only and could be for a while. 18 had to undergo some repair and the cart path isn’t repaved yet. Overall the course is really in rough shape.

It rained hard all day. No one at the club answered the phone. I was charged without playing.

I love course improvements but let us know before we get there to tell us that 18 is a par 3 instead of a par 5. Couldn’t book my score on GHIN. Also, it’s unfortunate this course drains poorly. It has been cart path only for a while and it was soggy.

not sure why the course was so wet without any recent rain? hopefully all the new development right on the golf course in not going to cause wet conditions all the time it would be a shame!!!

Temp was in the high 40s and not many people on the course. Pace of play was so-so, although under 4hrs. Considering its January the fairways were mostly dry and playable. Plus you could find your ball in the brown rough.

Greens were medium speed and very predictable. .My putts were dropping regularly.

We snuck on for 18 holes on a chilly January day, but this course wildly exceeded our expectations. Super fun course, awesome mountain holes with elevation changes, but a fair course, and tons of fun shots to hit. We had 9 in our group and the staff were amazing and totally understanding of what we hoped our day would be like. Accommodated us, treated us great and made for a very memorable golf round. Would love to come back and play in-season when the grass and trees are in shape!

Had tee time available to book, booked and paid fee, course canceled my tee time the next morning via phone call so I can’t recoup my golf now fees.

Wet and cart path only BUT we would come back anytime!

If you want to play golf within a 40 minute radius of Asheville, NC this is the course to play. The course demands a variety of different shots/clubs. If you want to hit driver every hole this is probably not your course. However, the views, conditions, and variety of hole layouts makes this course a blast to play. Cummings Cove is an ideal mountain golf course and it isn't gimmicky like some mountain courses can be. I played 18 holes for $35 dollars, I wouldn't have been mad if the green fees were twice that. Check it out.
