Nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club is peacefully tucked away with the Great Smokies sheltering it to the west. It offers some of the most stunning views of any golf course in western North Carolina. Although it feels remote, Asheville is less than half an hour away. The mountainous surroundings provide a dramatically hilly terrain that is ideal for a challenging round of golf. Players will face plenty of uneven lies on this layout. The elevation changes also provide some interesting risk-reward opportunities throughout the golf course. Mature trees frame most of the holes and the small, sloped greens are often framed with bunkers. The Cummings Cove layout seems unusually short at only 6,415 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The undulating terrain makes it feel much longer.

Winter golf
I’ve played here a few times this year and will continue to do so next year. Fun course that will test your game.

Great Staff and course greens are outstanding with holes 7&8 that still need to be opened since hurricane. Love playing this course!
Great course, avoid the golf cart attendant
Younger gentleman brooded around and stalked our golf outing for the last 3 holes because of our pace of play, or lackthereof. Even took it upon himself to issue a brief lecture, even though the course was still open with no one behind us. Creepy angry fellow, he looked eager to get home to his Xbox. I thought the course was great but this guy ruined it. Sat in a golf course and peered at us from the tee boxes. Avoid at all costs.
2 holes were closed
Always disappointing when course doesn’t post that two holes are closed on GN…never know if is the course or GN…both not dependable to do right thing
Disappointed
We arrived at the course and were informed that holes 7 and 8 were closed. Cummings Cove website makes no mention of this that I could find.
Tee Off should have noted this on their booking engine when we were making reservations.
We were informed that the course did not have the ability to make the needed repairs and that they were trying to sell the course.

Some holes closed
Just like the last couple of round nobody cares to mention that this course has two holes that you're not even allowed to play, so I paid $50 for 16 holes, I think the course or golfnow should have to put that on the website. I'm almost done with golfnow they're never honest.
Very wet from the rain. Cart path only but the course was great.
Surprised
Overall pretty good condition. When we play a couple of time we know how to manage the course and it can be pretty decent if it is not cart path .
Nice Course
Course is good shape. Fairways really nice, especially on the back 9 holes. Nice facilities and staff is always friendly.
