Lincoln Country Club has a scenic landscape of hardwood forests and meandering creeks. Although it might not seem like anything special on first glance, the golf course is actually one of the area's hidden gems. The traditional design has a surprisingly formidable test. The challenging golf course has a front nine with tree-lined fairways and small greens that demand accuracy. While the back nine is more open, it's no less challenging. Shot placement will still be an important factor when maneuvering the greens. Ponds and creeks come into play throughout and there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along many of the greensides. The Lincoln Country Club golf course finishes with a tough par 4 that demands an accurate tee shot with out-of-bounds on the right and a creek on the left. Don't underestimate the undulating green, it has seen many three-putts in its time.

Fun Course

First time here. Course was fun to play. The shorter holes are defended well enough with trees and bunkers. The dog legs are all very sharp so no cutting corners. Scoring is easy enough if you just take what the course gives you. Greens were ok bunkers were hit and miss. Some dirt some sand. Overall a nice place

Dixson

Under staffed at new downstairs bar and eating area.

Golfers on the course can’t wait for food or drinks must have more employees available to take orders and making food orders

Great conditions

I haven’t played this course in a while due to conditions. I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Every shot I hit was off of grass except my own errant shots lol. I will be playing here more often again.

Great front 9

The front 9 is in better shape than the back 9. Greens were solid all the way through. They do charge for a cup of ice or water which is pretty wild. Would play here again, especially the front 9.

Odd Course

This course is just okay. The day we were there they were obviously not using tee times and overbooked the course. Pace of play was dismal. It also has an odd set-up with bad to no signage that leaves a first time player wondering where to go. There are also several holes bordering busy roads. Just an odd combination of traits that make this course less than desirable.

Friday Round as a single

Single golfer trying to get out on a Friday. Staff was accommodating as I was running late. Course is good condition with some bare spots, greens are rolling nicely. Pace of play is good and corse layout is wide with lots of room for novice golf.

Clubhouse is small with small snack bar. Standard municipal food offerings and limited beer and cocktails.

Not recovered from winter yet

Fairways and roughs were still in winter condition. Sand traps need deep raking because the sand depth was shallow. Greens rolled true, were much slower than normal, did not hold the approach shot.

The little things

Absolutely wonderful track.... however there was no ball washers, beverage cart or water to drink on the course at all. This course could easily be 5⭐'s but the more I pay the more I expect. With that being said I will come back n give them another chance.

Course management a must

This was the first time iI've played this course as stroke play. All previous times I'd played in a scramble format. Playing on my own required a more detailed thought process as opposed to grip it and rip it. And it had rained the previous two days so the course was very wet (cart path only wet).

Fairways were soggy in most places. The greens have some very subtle breaks that were tough for me to read. Overall, a challenging layout.

I'd play it again.

Great course if you can get a tee time

This is my home course and it’s a great place to play a mid week round. Good luck getting a tee time on Friday thru Saturday until after 4. They have a dog fight every weekend and they show preference to that group over everyone else!

They need a better way to track the pace of play!

There is no excuse for a 6 hr round of golf. Had a group ahead of us and 3 of 4 golfers were wearing jeans and they were the slowest players I’ve ever been behind. Then come to find out they were apart of a tournament that had not been revealed to us to be playing. This course is nice but needs a lot of work
