Salem Glen Country Club

Great track. Still a little dormant in areas but fairways were nice and greens were lightening quick and true. Pace of play was decent for a bunch of foursomes and us being a deuce. Only negatives was no beverage cart, and the gents in front of us didn’t wave us through. Still finished in 3:58 so you can’t really complain.

Course is in excellent condition. Had great lies in the fairway and bunkers I ended up in. Did have a hard time keeping the ball on the greens. They are the fastest greens I have ever played. A ball that hit the green on a low trajectory or without a lot of spin would not stay on the green. Did about half my putts starting from off the green. Should have spent more time on the putting green to get used to the speed. Putting green is the same speed as the course.

First time playing this course. Conditions were good. Greens were fairly hard and fast, rolled mostly true. Fairways were also good. Enjoyed the layout.

Have played here many times and this was certainly one of the more enjoyable rounds. Had some waiting, but still finished in just under 4 hours, which was great on a course known for slow play. Would still like to see someone come out once or twice to keep things moving. Course is definitely showing signs of improvement with an excellent practice area and real sand in the traps. Fairways are coming out nicely and greens were in good condition. Some of the tees were a bit rough, but hopefully some TLC will bring them out. Looks like they are headed in the right direction.

The greens are always great, fairways lush, and for the price it’s unbeatable.

Course is fun to play. Front is like a links style while the back nine take you through the mountains. Greens are quick. Driving range is like Top Golf. However, 5 hour round. Pace of play is slow. Some holes had 2-3 groups waiting to tee off.....

Great course with well protected bent grass greens. That may make it more challenging when they convert to "southern grass" greens this summer. Too many slackers won't look for and fix a ball mark so this makes 6 courses in last two years to convert to greens that won't mark or hold a decent approach shot. Seems to be a trend in the piedmont.

But we took 9 guys and all loved the course. Will be taking 20 back next month and in April before they close for the summer.

One of the best maintained courses in the area. Greens a smaller than expected but rolling out smoothly. Really enjoyed the view on 5, along the Yadkin river
