Marion Lake Golf Club

Played at Marion Lake Club today for the first time and really enjoyed the course. It’s in good shape. Not great. Fairways were ok. Tees were ok. Greens were good. Couple holes on the back the fringes had some winter kill. But overall good shape. The front 9 and the course in general has and good bit of doglegs and blind shots. A lot of holes where you can and should hit less than driver. The back 9 has some beautiful views of Lake James and the surrounding mountains. That are worth the price of admission. Overall a fun course to play and I’d go back.

They have made improvements on the cart path and greens were in good condition. I enjoyed the course and I will be back soon to play again.

Weather was rainy and damp. Course held up well. Staff was very helpful.

Fun course with Beautiful views all around the lake

This is the most ridiculous layout for a golf course I’ve ever seen. Tee boxes are right next to greens and fairways are insanely close together. Two holes even have a shared fairway but holes play in opposite directions!!! Stupid! You’d see balls coming at you or randomly rolling down your fairway and you have no idea where they came from. Course was packed so it was a bit like playing the old Atari game Frogger but on a golf. Course. Total waste of $44 and a Saturday afternoon. Will never go back.
