Silo Country Club
Exceeded expectations in spite of the cold weather and condition of the course for this time of year. Looking forward to playing it again when it's in peak condition. The layout was challenging, but manageable with smart play.
Waiting
We were two. We started behind a six-some, thankfully they let us play thru. We caught up to a five-some and played the round behind them. You would think when you look back and see a 300+ drive (my playing partner) you’d move aside. Saw additional five-somes on the course as well. Layout not bad, condition ok but for me, never again.
Great Value
Friendliest course around! Well -- the staff is. It's a bear from the blues. I move up on 4 of the holes but still a challenge for this 10 handicaper to break 90. Lots of twists and angles as well as elevation changes. But always a pleasant experience.
Siler City Country Club
Loved the layout of this course and the greens were very challenging. Overall all it was in pretty good shape for winter. Look forward to spring and early summer when everything turns green.
My home course, Bermuda Run, is also an Ellis Maples designed couse.
The course was halfway between Raleigh, NC and Bermuda Run, NC where I met my son for a round of golf. The course is well designed with challenging bunker placement and new greens. We will return again.
Poor fairway conditions - pace of play, horrible
The course layout was nice, greens were decent , lunch (and friendliness of club staff) was excellent but Pace of Play will keep me from returning. 3 five-somes were sent out early and it was excruciating behind them / way too long to wait. These groups had the entire course backed up …. And they were not interested in the least with letting people pass or moving a bit quicker back to the cart or to the tee. At one point they fished for balls in a pond for 5 minutes or so ….

We apologize for the negative experience you had with the pace of play during your visit to our golf course. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our operations. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Enjoyable easy going round
This course was much like my own country club, that is a club in the country. Fairways all playable and greens all new, of Bermuda grass which does play slower, again identical to my club. So it all felt familiar, although here quite hilly terrain with great variety in terms of variation of layout.bunkers in great shape. The staff were ver friendly and accommodating. Never saw any ground crews which was curious since course felt well maintained. Maybe Saturday was the reason. Will return
Awesome course.
Everything is great about this course except for the people who play it. There’s always groups of older guys and gals walking who disregard the younger singles and duos. I had to wait ten minutes on the tee of the fourth hole and ended up skipping a hole because they just don’t keep the pace up.
Fantastic Value
A gem of a town golf course. I live in Apex and drive straight past the exits to Chapel Ridge and Preserve to play there now because you can tell they really care about the course and the customers. So many golf course that used to be charming and well-kept are managed by corporate entities squeezing dollars -- so refreshing that this place seems to be family-run.
Siler City Country Club
The course is in really good condition. Well worth the drive from Apex.
Nice course, but now a bit overpriced
I've played Siler City Country Club several times and was looking forward to getting back after they retooled their greens. The new greens are excellent, and they've made a few other minor changes around the course, which I like. The course used to be a terrific bargain with prices in the $45 range for 18 with a cart. That's now up to $59 on my latest round, which I feel is a bit overpriced given the condition of the rest of the course. I will still play here, but less frequently than before.
The greens were nice
Greens were nice but that’s about it, it was a decent course but not worth 60 bucks in my opinion. Definitely played way nicer courses for 60 bucks especially in early fall.
