Excellent Course

Golf course was in great shape considering the amount of rain that has fell in the area recently. They have tried their best to keep up with the mowing and done an adequate job. Love to play this course. Challenging but fun.

Outstanding course and location

This course has had owner problems in the past, but it's really on the right track now. The greens are terrific even with all the rain we've had, and the setting is just beautiful. Great staff and course equals a very enjoyable round of golf as well as being a bargain. Every time I bring a player here who has never played here before, their comments are always about what a great course and beautiful setting GN is. And the good news is: it"s getting better!!!

Nice open course

Very nice looking course, can be expensive at full price. Definitely needs more yardage markers. I played after several days of rain and it was cart path only. The cart's GPS can be off quite a bit and yardage markers are few and far between. Most holes are pretty open, so even hackers like me don't get into too much trouble. A few lay up type holes keep it interesting so you're not pulling out driver on every hole. I didn't use it, but the driving range looked much nicer than most.

Good Course

I played Greensboro National. I have played this course several times and its always great getting back. The course lay out is Great!! The course was in good shape. The greens on this day were a bit slow from where they normally are but still rolling well. From Golf Now, this was a Great Value from their normal Green Fees. I'm looking forward to playing Greensboro National soon.

The course was in great shape!

This was the first time playing Greensboro National and it was a great course. It was very well maintained and very playable. The greens were in great shape and held incoming shots very well. The course is a challenge for any level of experience and makes you use all of your clubs. I was very pleased and will definitely be back.

Course in good shape

Hadn't played National in a few years. Course was in good shape despite obvious wind damage from summer storms. Fairways were very good. Greens rolled very well but thin in spots and were not mowed very well as there were higher patches of grass around the edges. Love the fact that holes are painted. Excellent touch that many courses do not do. Best hotdog at the turn ever! You have to have a dog at National! All in all a great day on the course!

Friendly staff, great Course

I've been playing at National for 10 years and the staff is the best! The new ownership has put in the necessary money to make the course look better(taking down dead trees, covering areas w new grass, adding new carts w gps, ect). The couse has never looked better! Plus they have the best burgers in town! Hands down! If you haven't tried G National, you are missing out!

Great value for any discounted price.

Greensboro National tee times normally run in the $50-$60 range, and for good reason. If you can purchase the tee time for any discount then you are in for a great treat. GPS on every cart that is bigger than my T.V. in college...I think you can even get "Ellen" on that thing, er..um...I mean SportsCenter.
The Slope rating of the course leaves you with awkward lies from time to time, greens are located above and below tee boxes equally, and just as many dog-leg lefts as there are dog-leg rights. A balanced, challenging course that is always well maintained. i played after heavy rains and a week after they had aerated their greens...still the best greens in Greensboro and dry spots to lift-clean-and place.
A Greensboro treasure.

This is a beautiful course that plays friendly to an average golfer.

The weather was terrible on our hour long drive to the course and still raining when we pulled in the lot. We went inside to see about the rain check policy, but as we had figured there was none due to having booked online through Golfnow, We had pretty much expected that and were not angry over our bad luck with the weather. We decided to go for it, got the cart keys, and headed for the truck to load up. By the time we got our shoes on and headed for the first tee, the rain had quit - and the golf gods allowed us 4 1/2 hours of great golf weather. The fairways had been recently aerated and the grass hasn't come in well yet, but the greens rolled true and we had an awesome time. We look forward to getting back there again this summer.

Great GPS System Senior Rates Good

Love the GPS system. Even I (age 68) can figure it out. Easy and love it. Senior rates are the best in area. Go on their site and select senior rate. $20 for 18 includes cart with GPS. My wife & I play a lot of courses. The tee boxes are designed so that they are fare to both male & female golfers when playing a game together.
Friendly staff make you feel welcome. Best course in the Greensboro area for the money.

There was sort of punching condition each greens. But it's O.K.
It's fun to play with nice sunshine and outlook.
I try to bring peers to tee at greensboronational coming season.

Great course for the money

Course is in good shape. Staff was very friendly and readily accommodated an adjustment in our tee time based on the addition of two players at the last minute. Can't be the deal through Golf Now for this course. Driving range was in poor shape.
