Stone Mountain
The course and greens are great condition and the staff is awesome…come on and play but know this is a mountain course that will exercise all your clubs in the bag, very enjoyable
Enjoy the Course
We have played here plenty.. get ready to lose some balls if you can’t keep it in the fairway. Challenging but Fair course. We Always have a Fun time on the Mountain. Great Value.
Beautiful!
I was blown away with how good of condition the greens were in on every single hole. They rolled smooth with no bumps, and no debris constantly in your line.
The tee boxes was very flat and mowed low and the fairways had beautiful line patterns on them. The rough is super thick and easy to lose a ball in.
Best deal I’ve had in months, can’t wait to come back!
Great shape
First time playing a mountain course. It was a awesome experience fun and difficult. The course was in great shape. I will be going back soon.
Great will be back!
Course was awesome staff was friendly the carts were just fine. Challenging course not the longest but narrow fairway shots and the greens were nice smooth and pretty fast the hills make for interesting challenges
Remove this course from GolfNow
I’m very disappointed with this course. There was little to no putting green and the carts were horrible. This isn’t worth 29.00 to play there.
Par 3s too long.
Please consider making par threes not as long. 2 of them I must use a driver to even get close to the green and I drive the ball pretty well most days.
Thank you in advance.
Great Views
The course is really out in the boonies, but well worth the trip. Bring your lunch, play some golf, what could be better. It really has some interesting holes and if you loose a ball it is probably resting in a ravine. Hit em straight. Had a great time.
Really enjoyed!
I really enjoyed this Hidden Gem tucked in the mountains. The green’s were small but in excellent condition. I can’t wait to play again.
Stone mountain
This course is usually always nice. Could use some new golf carts as some are on their last leg. Get to see deer on the course if you're lucky. Greens were smooth...just hard. Ball wouldn't stop if you hit the green.
Gorgeous course, challenging
There are few courses with better views. You really feel back in nature on this mountain course, I saw three different clusters of deer during my round.
The course while short is extremely challenging, Narrow fairways, elevation changes and small greens make Stone Mountain a significant challenge of course management. Greens were in excellent condition.
Great value
At this price point you’re gonna get what you paid. Love playing this course. A bit challenging as areas around the course are wooded. If you slice a ball or hook it more likely then not that ball is a goner. Every time I’ve played here I have left with a great experience. Staff is very friendly. You’ll get a standard NC mountain course so make sure to bring extra balls and dress accordingly as the temps will be about 5-7 degrees cooler than the surrounding area.
Goat Track
The title says it all. If you care at all about golf, you will be appalled at the condition of this course. We played here because of the good reviews on Facebook and the praising comments of this course condition on the website. It also looked like a good deal ($20 for morning weekend tee time). The fairway grass was as tall and thick as rough. The ball would bury (in the fairway!), and it would take several minutes to find a good tee shot. The grass on the tees was equally as tall. This made it almost impossible to tee the ball up the right length. The grass around the green varied in type and thickness. The greens were fairly decent. However, they would not hold anything other than a high flop. The extremely elevated greens on some holes made it impossible to get the ball high enough for it to stay on the green. If you're looking for scenic views and dramatic elevation changes, this place is for you. If you care about the condition of tees, fairways, and greens, I would steer clear.
