Twin Lakes
Great little course... but no directions on the course lay out. Cart path was terrible, if they improve cart path, playing experience would be better and Marshall need to on course to speed up play.
Cow Pasture
Probably the worst golf course that I have ever played. Greens were furry and some kind of disease on them. Tee boxes were horrible. The fairways were some type of weed.
Course
Cart paths need to be fixed. Fairways a tee boxes better cut a greens could’ve been the day be greens were pretty long. Mainly cart paths and the grass cut a bit better
Loads of Potential
Played 9 today with my 12 year old son. First time for both of us. Staff was very friendly. Pro shop/clubhouse was nice for the course and area. Weather was cloudy/drizzly so it was very slow and not many golfers out so pace and peacefulness was outstanding.
Course conditions are what you’d expect for the price. Cart paths are absolutely brutal. They’d almost be better off pulling up the remaining asphalt and going with dirt/gravel. Not a knock on the course, just a heads up to prospective golfers. Greens are super soft and slow.
Overall - had a great time. Fun. Challenging enough. The course could be something really nice with some investments.
Will return. Would recommend.
Last trip playing here!
I love the staff and the layout and the early great price $ for golf BUT.. you get what you pay for, 1st time getting hurt driving a golf cart as cart paths are destroyed and not safe. Then Tee box has no grass and good luck trying to push a tee down. If you are not in the middle of the fairway all the area around hole is 3 foot high grass and junk and Lucky if you can find your ball, Like playing US/British open. I wish them well but no longer able to deal with these poor conditions.
Great course great value
. Love this course. It had really Gray greens. Compared to some places, the price was fantastic. It was a really great deal that was fond of way
Unique Course
First the staff is the most welcoming and friendly in the Charlotte area. A nice change from what we have come to expect at most courses. Nice folks. The pace was okay but have seldom encountered a 5some and even a 6some on a course so that was interesting. Several of the greens were really bad and trying to putt was a waste of time. Yet we all had a good time. The course is interesting and can be fun if your foursome isn't overly serious and can keep in mind that the price was good. Great place for beginner golfers. But if you drive the hour and a half from Charlotte like we did, you deserve to know that the pics aren't a true representation of the current course conditions.
First time on course
Let me start by saying I'm a social annoyance. I love talking and hearing people's stories. This course was a blast. Showed up early, not an issue tee'd off whenever I wanted. Staff was over the top friendly. It was nice to see a great small group of people put this all in motion. My son and I played and let about 3 groups play through (sons second time on a course) everyone was friendly and understanding. We played terrible but had absolutely NOTHING but a good time.
Already planning our next trip out with my brother and son. Don't miss this gem.
Cory-
Twin valley!
Challenging back 9, great beginner course. Open layout.
Great as usual
The friendliness of the staff is so welcoming. I'm going back this week with some friends.
Course has potential
I think this course can be a true hidden gem of NC, but that would require a lot of TLC! A LOT!
The course itself is not a push over and requires some knowledge to have a scoring chance. It’s not long, but also not wide open, so accurate tee shots will be rewarded!
It has a great set of par 3s on both 9s not one of which is over 175 yards from the back tees.
And finally, the place is cheap (even by NC muni standards). But there’s a reason for that… The place is in rough shape.
I took some photos, and the ones with the ball are in the middle of the fairway. If you just want to hack the ball around, there are definitely worse courses to do it on. But if you are coming here to tune up your game, you may leave disappointed.
Really hope that they turn this place around though. The back nine layout is special and could be a fun challenge once restored.

Course challenges me every time
Love the course. Just when I think I figured something out, I find a new challenge.
