Wet
The course was soaked in the morning hours. Had the look of heavy rain, instead of normal morning dew. Otherwise it was a fun and challenging course. I will probably be back. The staff was friendly.
Course in poor condition
Good Park was in the poorest condition I have ever seen it, which was surprising as I play it several times each year. Many of the greens had large dead spots that an employee was chalking off as GUR for an upcoming tournament this weekend. Many areas were marked off on the fairways as well. I’m sure the heavy spring rains had some impact but honestly I’m not sure what is going on as other courses I have played have all recovered nicely.
It’s sad to see a gem of a course look and play so poorly. I’m sure the Summit Co Sr. Am this weekend will be equally disappointed.
Great course
Nice course love it here never had a bad experience. Restaurant is amazing
Enjoyed the round
First of all the course was in great shape. We were a threesome waiting all day on a foursome that was very slow and at times 2 to 3 holes behind the group in front of them. Didn’t look like anybody was telling them to pick up the pace.
Regardless we enjoyed the day and the course.
Great course
Great course! No waiting the staff was friendly the course was in great shape the greens were perfect I will be back !
Great Seasoned Course
Just a great older course. Very challenging with the trees. Great course and city owned.
Greens were in great shape. course has low spots that collect water after heavy rains which is the case. In spite of this, it is a good test for golf.
Nice course, good value
Course was in really good shape, fairways and greens were well maintained. A bit wet in spots, but overall beginning to dry out and not bad at all for all the rain we've had this spring.
Memorial Day play
Challenging course with tree lined fairways. Long par 3’s and longer holes than other muni courses I have played. Roughs were a little longer, challenging to find balls as spring rains probably kept them from timely cutting.
Greens were very good. Traps were raked and in good condition.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We will inform the entire team, so they know their hard work is paying off. We look forward to having you back!
Excellent Public course
For it having rained the past couple days the course played very well, greens rolled true with an average pace. Most holes are lined with trees on both sides so good tee shots are important. It helps to hit your long irons well on the longer par 4’s, 5’s, and the long par 3’s. Staff was friendly and got me out on the course right away when I was ready (it was a slower Sunday with the cloudy/rainy weather). Overall great public course for a good price. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
Love the park
Great layout and extremely tough test of golf. No water hazards and very few out of bounds areas but will still test every shot in your bag. 7 through 10 is one of the toughest stretches of golf you will ever play oh and then you still have number 18 too
True test of golf
Excellent golf course design and the greens were perfect. Great value and great people!
Nice course, good value
Extremely wet and sloppy conditions, but I still enjoyed the round. I think they're going to have to put in some drainage in a few areas. Doesn't seem like it's even been that wet lately and large amounts of golf course had standing water and very soggy areas. It's a nice course to play when dry.
Hi, Clark. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We have projects ongoing to and the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing J. Edward Good Park Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
