Value for the money
Played today with son friends and my son for Father’s Day. The attendance were very nice and provided great service.
The pace of play was expectedly slow being Father’s Day.
Overall a very good experience and a very good time. The course was in good shape based on the limited amount of rain.
Played Furnace and Baldwin
Fairways and greens are already firm and we're not into July. Both 9 fairways were fast and the rough was lush. Greens were rolling fair but they need water soon.
Would recommend for a hot deal but not the full price. Since there are 36 holes on site play moves pretty quick.
Played new 9, tough challenge but enjoyable!
Played the newly opened Baldwin 9. Woooow! Very good test of skills due to small greens and slim fairways. Greens were mostly straight with very little break! I will definitely play this course all summer.
Great course
Ive played this course 3 years ago it was a good course the. But better now they made alot of improvements to it. And has some really fun holes to play. Will definitely play again.
Nice course
Very nice course a little slow greens are a little slow but had a lot of rain
The redone Seneca Course is becoming a jewel again
This is the first time I have played the course in twenty some years, and now under the Metroparks control they have brought it back and save all the charm and style of the 1940s design. Tee boxes are in much better shape, fairways are starting to fill in again with nice new grass, greens are going to be great again soon. Great Thanks to the work the Metroparks for saving, and bring this classic courses back alive. The course is playable for all skill levels and can definitely be enjoyed by all. I would recommend the course to all, you will enjoy it.
Nice course, slow greens.
The Metroparks have done a lot to improve the course. It’s in good shape. The greens are pretty slow however. The clubhouse staff was very friendly but the starter and ranger were a bit gruff.
First Time This Season
This is my first time playing the course this season. There has been some changes to the course outlay. Maintenance is poor. Fairway is terrible.
Bad Review?
This course is outstanding in every way. Rangers driving the course offering extra water. I’m not sure about an earlier review claiming it was not worth it, unless he played the old A course. The new 9s are terrific and the staff very friendly. Will continue to play this course often and can’t wait until the fall when the 3rd nine opens!
great course
wide open fairways, fairly flat greens. course was in good shape!
Terrible course not worth the price.
Played the back A course. The fact they charge $28 for this course is ridiculous. I know they have put some work in on the other courses but this one is the worst. The fairways had rows and clumps of cut grass everywhere. Heavens forbid you hit your ball anywhere else then the fairway and you are taking a drop because you can find your ball in the overgrown rough. There are very limited cart paths, they are only right around the tee boxes. When you drive your cart off of those you better hold your balls and make sure everything is secure. The ground is so bumpy and unleveled. I would expect this at a $10 or $12 course but $28. You are better off going somewhere else for this price.
Seneca _ Chippewa
Played here growing up as a kid. Thirty years later, there are now only 27 holes instead of the 36 holes I knew. Still a forgiving course and a great place to work on your swing. The course looks good but it will take some time to get there after the renovations. I think the Metroparks will get it right. Would come back.
Seneca - Chippewa Course
Played here growing up as a kid. Thirty years later, I was surprised to see one of the nine holes is no more. The three nines left have fancy names, no longer A and B courses. I see the improvements taking shape. Just going to need some time and I am sure the Metroparks will get it done. Still a forgiving course. Great course to play in the beginning of the season and good course to work on your swing to get better. Great value. Will come back.
