Great new courses!
First time playing this renovated course...wow. Played 2 of the nines. Great work, awesome modern layout now. One of the best Metroparks tracks. Needs to grown in and mature a bit, but will be the top facility in the parks soon. Can’t wait to go back.
Love the course
Between Furnace, Chippewa and Baldwin, I truly enjoy playing these courses. They were in great shape. Back A needs redone.
Old course but new layout
If you haven’t played since they rebuild the course you should, it’s 100x better than it was in the old days.
Exceptional Metro Park Gem
Played 27 Holes on the Holiday teed off at 7:10 and we were done with 18 by 10:40 am, exceptional pace for a Metro Parks course on the weekend! So much so, we played another 9. Overall the staff was super friendly and excited to talk about the course. Can't wait to go back hope they have the Purple tees/ Tournament tees out sometime soon the course is a beast with multiple par 5's that play over 600 yards!
Great course for an average golfer
I’m a bogey golfer and my boyfriend is brand new to the game. We played 9 with a cart on a Thursday afternoon and it was great. Lots of bunkers and weeds made the course feel pretty narrow and that added a nice challenge. Good pace of play and for how dry it’s been, the course was in good shape. Covid-19 protocols were appropriate and the staff was nice. Somewhat pricey for a midday round, especially given that it’s in the metroparks, but alas.
Metroparks Golf Gem
I played the Baldwin and Chippewa nines on this morning. Started at sunrise, and the conditions were perfect. The greens weren't too wet for the early morning and rolled great, as the course was in great shape overall. There is water and tall grass in play on several holes, so there's a lot of potential trouble for errant shots.
I also played Furnace Run about 3 weeks ago. While Seneca may not get the same respect as Sleepy Hollow or Manakiki, I would say it's nicer than Big Met and Shawnee Hills.
Give it a try!
Good course!
Nice greens. The fairways and rough were a little patchy.
Great value
Course was in great shape, both greens and fairways well taken care of. No real ladies tees , so a bit of a challenge for my wife. But all in all a good round and would definitely play again.
Typical Seneca
I had heard that once the Metroparks took over Seneca from the City of Cleveland the course would improve. Overall, the greens were better but the rest of the course was typical Seneca. Fairways did roll, but rough was hard to find balls in it. The course still needs a lot of work but it has improved. There are a lot of unmoved areas on the course. Some new bunkers were installed and the sand was the best I’ve played this year.
Baldwin course
Great new nine the Baldwin course from the tips is challenging shot 39 could have done better if I could putt definitely want to go back and play it again. IMO is rivals Sleepy
Great layout with the newly redesigned course! A little on the dry side but I’d rather play a firm course than a soft course.
Baldwin/Furnace
Played the Baldwin and Furnace 9’’s. Layouts are outstanding. I’d put them ahead of sleepy hollow and just behind Manakiki. Conditions are another story. Both fairways and rough were below average. Greens were average, with lots of unrepaired ball marks. Course wasn’t too busy but spent a LOT of time looking for balls. The long fescue is pretty close to the fairways. I’d play again but only after some rain.
