St. Denis Golf Course

Worse round all year, they had two outings on a Saturday morning, got stuck being the first group following the outing. We followed a fivesome who were more interested in drinking than golfing. Play was so slow we asked to play the front again just so we didn't have to keep playing behind the fivesome. Felt like I wasted money and time today.

We've been playing our Tuesday night league there for many years. Nice course.

Last Tues. a staff member locked the gate on us as we were changing our shoes - without saying a word! Rather rude...had to find alternate exit from parking lot in twilight.

Greens and fairways in good condition. Friendly staff but pace of play as usual very slow.

Seems like during the week pace of play isn't an issue. They never try to paor me up with other golfnow twosomes. It was wide open! Course is in great shape. Prefer to play here if I can get a good deal via golfnow. Regular rates seem a bit high. Guess I gotta pay if I don't want to deal with pace of play issues.

This course was the most well kept of the courses I played while in NY, PA, OH, and Canada in vacation this past week; check-in was excellent — the young man was very friendly and helpful; the maintenance staff was not so accommodating — on three different holes they were working while my twosome (played in with another single) was playing each hole, and they ignored us and disrupted our play; we had to wait for them and tried to get their attention so we did not hit into them, but that was to no avail; needless to say, it delayed our pace and it disrupted our individual play; I know they have work to complete, but they need to accommodate the golfers for the short amount of time we need to play through their work.

Other than that, I thought very highly of the course and would play it again if I come back to the area.

Course was in great shape and well maintained, we played round in 4 hours total . For the money one of better course in area

Pace of play was great...staff was nice..course was in great shape considering the amount of rain we had the last week...so I understand they couldn’t cut grass in some spots other than that course was in great shape the greens were running true and had some pace

I've been playing this course for the past 15 years and I've never had as slow a time as I had this past Sunday. We tee'd off 30 minutes late because it was so backed up. On the 3rd hole, my group was in the fairway as another group was on the green and yet another group was on the tee. I don't know if they were just sending groups off too close together or if one group up ahead was the cause of the log jam. The pace did pick up a bit on the back but overall the day was almost wasted because we were waiting on every hole.

Course was in good shape no major issues a little wet but rained Friday and still early in the season. Started a little tight and slowed our front 9 down but the weather was great so we just enjoyed the day. All in all great experience for a group of weekend golfers

This place is awesome . Almost like having a five star in your backyard

St Denis is a great course. The rolling fairway make it a challenge. The greens are often sloping with tough pin placement. They had recently been arerated so putting was very difficult. One of my favorite courses

I have been playing golf in the Cleveland area for the past 20 years or so, and It is only this year that I heard of this course for the first time. I played at Chardon Lakes (it's very good course) a number of times, but to my chagrin, I wasn't aware of St. Denis. This course is a very good course. it's very well maintained. The layout is interesting and challenging. The staff are very friendly. The course is quiet, unlike some other courses, not bothered by nearby heavy traffic and/or aircrafts from a nearby airport.

Unlike some other courses, St. Denis, like Hawthorne Valley, is very relaxed about power carts going into the parking lot, which to me, who am senior, is one luxury.

St. Denis, whose name intrigues me, will be one of my favorite courses from this year on. Driving through the beautiful countryside to get there is also fun and pleasant. It's a treat for me.

My wife and I like to play a two person scramble to keep play moving and we both have fun. She really enjoyed the beauty of the course and the course layout. We'll definitely be back.
