Berkshire Hills Golf Course

the guy in the clubhouse could not have been more rude and less helpful. he said that they don’t even use golfnow, so we shouldn’t have even been able to book it. just an overall terrible experience. a course that used to be nice is now a cow pasture with terrible customer service

Walter and his staff are always ready to take care of you. The course has length, hills, doglegs, and water to make it a challenge to even the best golfer. Holes 6,7,12, and 15 are very tough for me to ever reach in regulation. A few of the greens had trouble this year and they re-seeded them, so hoping 2020 they will look better. I always enjoy playing here.

We booked on golfnow for an early morning saturday round like we always do. We got to the course, and were yelled at by the guy in the clubhouse saying “we fired golfnow, you shouldn’t have been able to book on there”. How are we supposed to know that, it was still on the website?! However there was nobody else there, he should have let us out anyways, and been happy to take our money for this garbage dump of a course. Played in an outing there the following week. The course isn’t maintained and has gone way downhill over the years. It used to be a nice course and layout with a decent value, now i wouldn’t go back if it was free. Terrible course, and even worse staff in the clubhouse. The older guy should be fired asap, he had no professionalism or common decency.

Used to be one of my favorite courses. But it's far from that now. Greens are burnt up. Hole locations aren't being moved around the green. Tee boxes are destroyed. One hole had pile of garbage just beside the teebox. It's a shame because the layout is nice. And staff is nice. But they've completely neglected the course.

Unfriendly staff who claimed they "fired GolfNow" back in April and gave me a hard time that I booked through Golf Now. How am I supposed to know that? I don't plan on ever going back, unenjoyable experience.

Have played here before and always liked it. Booked through Golfnow earlier in the week for today, 7/13. Got there and was rudely told that they "fired golf now" and we couldn't play due to an outing getting ready to start. Fortunately we were able to find another course nearby to play and when I called Golfnow to get a credit, Robin was very helpful and professional about it. Not sure where the disconnect was but I won't be going back to Berkshire

The course was in fair shape, cart paths need some work. Enjoyed the versatility of the course.

Sadly this course continues to go down. Greens have become the slowest I've played on this year. 4 or 5 holes under repair. They appear to be planting more trees for some reason though. I like the layout and the people are usually friendly. But the course itself just isnt what it used to be. Theres too many nice courses in that area to choose this one .

We’ve golfed here many times and looked forward to a beautiful day! The course was green but the grass on the fairway itself was too long. It was almost like a rough so didn’t get much roll. Sand traps were also not groomed but that’s probably because it’s after Labor Day. We will be back though.

Wow - this place is a dump from start to finish...

Tee boxes - beat up

Bunkers - gravel pits

Fairways - just 1 level cut lower than rough not actually fairway grass

Rough - burnt out

Greens - diseased and dying - haven’t been mown and cuts haven’t changed in weeks

Typical golfnow tactic of pairing you with a twosome or 3 some. Crazy backed up at number 1 tee. Not sending off the back. Poor management of tee-times. Made for an awful slow round. Unable to play through foursomes behind foursome all very slow pace.

I have played this course 100's of times over the last 20 years, was always a good experience. Have been playing many other area courses this year, so when I finally got around to Berkshire, what a disappointment. Absolutely the worst course conditions I've seen for a long long time, from anywhere. Several greens were diseased, most had not been cut or rolled in days, felt like putting on fringe, and putting through bare spots from disease was ridiculous. Many fairways weren't much better. Cart paths are in terrible shape, broken up and full of holes, better off riding in rough. This to me is clearly a sign that financially, this course isn't doing too well, wouldn't be surprised if they closed soon, it's pretty obvious they don't have the $ to keep up with the course maintenance. Will probably never go back. Save yourself the aggravation and play somewhere else, Too many better choices for your money than Berkshire. It's a shame
