Great course
St Denis is a great course. The rolling fairway make it a challenge. The greens are often sloping with tough pin placement. They had recently been arerated so putting was very difficult. One of my favorite courses
I like the name St. Denis
I have been playing golf in the Cleveland area for the past 20 years or so, and It is only this year that I heard of this course for the first time. I played at Chardon Lakes (it's very good course) a number of times, but to my chagrin, I wasn't aware of St. Denis. This course is a very good course. it's very well maintained. The layout is interesting and challenging. The staff are very friendly. The course is quiet, unlike some other courses, not bothered by nearby heavy traffic and/or aircrafts from a nearby airport.
Unlike some other courses, St. Denis, like Hawthorne Valley, is very relaxed about power carts going into the parking lot, which to me, who am senior, is one luxury.
St. Denis, whose name intrigues me, will be one of my favorite courses from this year on. Driving through the beautiful countryside to get there is also fun and pleasant. It's a treat for me.
Great golf day.
My wife and I like to play a two person scramble to keep play moving and we both have fun. She really enjoyed the beauty of the course and the course layout. We'll definitely be back.
Great Value
Nice layout, great value. They were doing a little construction work off in the rough so there was more ground under (dis)repair than normal, but looks like they're improving the course for next season.
Course conditions were awesome
Course was in wonderful shape and pace of play was great!!!
Wonderful
Been playing this course for 25 years. It was truly in terrific shape! As good as I could ever remember! Well worth the visit.
very good course
Well manicured beautiful course. This course is going to be one of my favorite ones.
Nice course that you can score on.
Course is in top condition. Greens are great. Not a poor spot anywhere. Huge improvement from last year.
Outing at St. Denis
Played in a great outing on Saturday and the course was in great shape. Loved the meal and the staff was great, will definitely come back soon.
Great Layout That Needs Better Attention
Have watched this course slip consistently over the past 5 years. It is a challenging but fair layout that rewards good shots and punishes bad shots. The greens have gotten progressively harder over the years and don't receive well hit irons as well as they used to. The ground has gotten harder and they are begging to cut everything the same length. Suggestion is to invest some money, increase the rates by $5-$10 and it will return to its past luster. Reluctantly recommend course in current condition because it is still a solid layout and in reasonable condition for the money.
Wonderful course, good conditions
The course is definitely well maintained and fun to play. There are a few blind shots and you may have the ball below or above your feet, but it's not a terribly difficult course. The greens are pretty fast and have some slope, so stay below the hole.
Good value
The course is in good condition, friendly staff and with a good pace of play.
Great Condition
The course is in great shape. Well maintained. Good shots are rewarded and poor shots create challenges. Both fun to play and challenging.
